I wouldn't mind seeing Khan/JMM. Clearly as of now JMM is the more accomplished overall fighter but look at their common opponent, surely Khan was more impressive against Barrera than JMM was. Say all you want about Khan's chin but didn't Barrera have JMM down and hurt in their fight? The light punching Diaz hurt JMM too last time, just something to think about.

As i said before Ouma you cannot compare the MAB that fought JMM, to the MAB that fought Amir Khan. That was 2 years ago clearly MAB was better then, as he was coming off a good showing against Rocky Juarez and he was at a more comfortable weightclass for him. Where as prior to the Amir Khan fight, MAB wern't looking good against tomato cans and was even cut badly in one of them. And he does not belong at Lightweight.

MAB had a cut eye in the opening seconds, which was from an injury he suffered in his other fight wasn't it ? i know your saying well Amir Khan would of won anyway, but who really knows ? MAB wasn't allowed to get into the fight at all. It was the worst start possible other than getting knocked down, and MAB although he didn't land much did shake up Amir Khan with the punches he did land.

It was a mismatch size wise and it should of never have happened, and MAB clearly wasn't the fighter he was against JMM. Juan Diaz isn't a big puncher but i can say for 100 percent, had Amir Khan been in the situation JMM was, Amir Khan would of been stopped.

JMM had to dig really deep fighting a style he isn't used to fighting, and he had to throw more punches than he has ever had to do. I think that fight just showed that JMM clearly isn't shot and he still has alot left.

Hell Michael Gomez who is a very/very poor's man version of Juan Diaz, and who was past his prime and undersized. Gave Amir Khan hell and he dropped him and had him badly hurt to the body. I think people are forgetting how fragile Amir Khan has looked in the past, just because he beat a badly cut and faded undersized MAB.

I think you guys are overrating the importance of MAB's cut, I mean its one thing to have severe blisters but a cut shouldn't really hinder your performance. No, that was all Khan there against a very capable Barrera. Fabulous performance, speed and skill for days. And I'm a fan of Diaz but he just doesn't hit hard enough for Khan. He's got the speed and technique that Maidana lacks, put them together, Diaz' overall ability and Maidana's power, and you have a tough out for Amir.

How doesn't a cut hinder your performance ? no offense Ouma but that is a pretty biased comment. A bad cut always effects your performance, the blood was gushing out and he couldn't even see out of one eye.

So how in the world did that not affect MAB ? it would effect any boxer. Especially in the opening seconds of a fight, where it knocks your confidence, takes you totally off your gameplan. Not to mention obviously your vision.

I didn't see it like you did, all i see was a faded fighter. With a horrendous cut that was clearly having problems with his vision. Who didn't belong at that weightclass.

And Amir Khan having the much longer reach, the youth, aswell as being much naturally bigger. Just using his speed/reach to pick a part a smaller cut fighter, which he did take advantage of no question.

But he still was easy to target with hooks and looping shots, and MAB had no chance to get into the fight. And the fight should of been a No-Conest.

They looked at the cut in the 4th round decided not to stop it, then they stop it in the 5th round ? what BS that was they clearly used the rules to there advantage to make sure Amir Khan gets the win.

As for Juan Diaz again i said he isn't a big puncher, but he certainly does bring it. And could Amir Khan stand that pressure ? he had trouble with Michael Gomez's pressure. And he's been floored by lighter punchers than Juan Diaz, who aren't anywhere near his level, i've seen no performance from Amir Khan that leads me to believe he's ready for the big boys.

Barrera has seen everything, the cut wouldn't have bothered him so much if he had been in with a lesser fighter, not a legend killer like Khan. Didn't you say that there were good reasons for MAB to lose the first Pacquaio fight, gym fires and such? I think we would both agree that influenced MAB's performance more than the cut did.
