Have you seen Ali/Foreman?? You may want to watch it, it disproves your theory that if you are bigger you will win.

Alot of times larger size is offset by slower speed and stamina issues.....

Man, this is getting easier and easier....

Too bad your hero isnt Pac Man cause than I couldnt argue with you cause Pac is a fighter that truely has head and shoulders more killer instinct than Wlad and Floyd.
    Wrong again.

For the millionth time. When Wlad has all the advantages in the fight and it is clear his opponent is ready for the taking. HE DOSENT GO IN FOR THE KILL!!!!!

He still throws 1900 jabs! Can you get that through your head?

Its ok he boxes intelligently until he breaks his man down but then he carries the fight on for 3-4 rounds more than necessary. Its not a quality people want in their heavyweight champion. When the opponent is ready, out-gunned, out-sized and out-muscled whats the excuse for still sniffing your way through a fight.

Your analogies of Ali/Foreman etc. dont apply. If your the superior fighter with all the advantages in your favor and have a beaten opponent in front of you, there is no excuse especially for a heavyweight champion to puss your way through a fight.

....the goal for Wladimir/any professional fighters is to win, the way you get to the win doesn't matter at the end of the day.

As far as HBO not showing his fights, HBO doesn't show Arthur Abraham's fights either, they don't show Felix Sturm, they just plain don't appreciate the very technical skill that these guys have (not saying Arthur and Felix are great or anything) but they have great technical skill with no bells and whistles and a lot of Americans and apparently the vast majority of the Brits don't appreciate that.

Meanwhile, the Wlad-Chagaev fight got a 58 share in Germany so it's not as if all people don't appreciate his fighting style. I appreciate what he's able to do, people ALWAYS want the vulnerable fighter to "mix it up" and why? Because you want to see him lose end of disscussion, just come on out and say it, Wlad finished Ray Austin in the 2nd round by a BRUTAL series of left hooks and NOBODY gave him credit so obviously it doesn't matter what Wladimir does he's never going to be accepted by the likes of you so I can just tell you to keep it to yourself

No, ONE OF the goals is to win... the other and usually most important one to a professional (as in makes money) is to make money and fans.

So obviously the way in which you win does matter with regards to that.

11 million viewers just in Germany doesn't matter? 61,000 fans in the stadium to watch the fight doesn't matter? I mean not everyone tuned in to watch David Haye, not everyone bought tickets to see David Haye. I will tell you if Wlad was American he'd be on his 10th PPV fight by now....fighting style wouldn't mind, they would compare him to Larry Holmes and he'd be selling crap on TV

Wlad won the fight, he stopped Chagaev a guy who had never lost, never been knocked down, and he just dominated him and yet he gets 0 respect, he knocks out Ray Austin with a HUGE punch and follow up and he gets 0 credit....it doesn't matter what Wladimir does the haters are just going to hate. If Wlad KO's David Haye with the 1st punch of the fight he'll get no credit, if Wlad loses it'll be HUGE for David Haye but at the end of the day it'll be the same old crap for Wlad "He's scared to get hit, he's chinny" blah blah blah, and if Wlad wins an all out war it's not going to matter, it won't help his cause with the haters because that's just what you guys do.

Actually my impression is that most on here would respect him more if he got through, win or lose, an all out war.

It kind of goes to your statement in the other post, about people in the end really only wanting to see Wlad lose in the end because they are haters. Me personally; I don't think most members on here really want to see him lose so much as take those risks, especially when he is in a position to do so{and has the skill set}when the fight is all but over and it goes more rounds than necessary. It's kind of like seeing a Great White shark circling and pecking at a seal until it's just dead instead of just putting the lights out after the initial blow, due to past experiences of getting injured by one and having reservations. I know it's a horrible analogy but the only one my limited mind is capable of right now

I actually think alot of people here want to get behind Wlad, because he has the tools to be an exciting heavyweight, yet gives off more the air of one who more increasingly has become timid. Or they just like pissing you off

Yeah, that's right. I mean Wladimir has defined his career with methodical, dominant beat downs. But it would be far more rewarding for him and his legacy if he engaged in one of those fights that are remembered for decades.

So far he's had none of those fights. It's sad that he's loosing efforts are more memorable than his wins.

Ze German's may love him. But then they love the sweet sound of Hasselhoff

Well I hate to disagree with your impression but there are a few guys who just won't accept Wladimir as champion and oddly enough some of those people were fans of a certain "pugilist specialist" at heavyweight who also had every physical advantage over his opponent and let's not forget how lackluster Lennox could look, great fighter, great heavyweight but he picked his spots too.

Legion, all I understand "you're as good as your last fight" and all that but Wlad has never gotten respect. He beat the undefeated Sam Peter and people whined and complained about holding and said Sam Peter was a limited fighter. Wlad KO's Chris Byrd, Calvin Brock, Ray Austin, and stops Lamon Brewster back to back to back to back and what respect does he get It's not as if he was timid in those fights and he gets no props AT ALL.

But hey, you guys just continue on hating and wait for Wlad to lose, it'll be a while
