Pac doesn't hit as hard as Clottey, Mosley or even Judah. And he's not all that much faster than Judah or Mosley. If he's even faster than them at all. Cotto was able to deal with all 3 to get 3 wins. I see no reason why Cotto can't handle whatever Pacquiao throws at him. Cotto by early stoppage

If I'm correct you picked ODLH to beat Pac by early KO. You also stated Hatton would beat Pac. Also Marquez. Don't be so confident in Cotto, Violent

Nobody knew De La Hoya was that shot. Hatton-Pacquiao was a win-win fight for me no matter who won. I flipped a coin for it. Tails for Pacquiao. Heads for Hatton. It came up heads. Hatton than goes out and tries to make his own head land on his fiances lap. And Marquez did beat Pacquiao. As will Cotto

You thinking one good body shot puts Pac in retreat mode and he gets broken down with repeat attacks?

I just can't see Pacquiao hurting Cotto. He'll connect. Cuz he is fast. And Cotto ain't exactly hard to hit. But Cotto's been hit before. He's been hurt before. He knows what to do. He'll bide his time. And eventually impose his will on Pacquiao. I have serious doubts about Pacquiao being able to take Cotto's punches.

It's gotta be either that or Cotto can't deal with the speed. Cotto really ain't been to the body in a big way for a few fights, I don't get that

His best bet is to pound those ribs and slow him down, about 8-9 hard shots during the 1st four rounds should do the trick.

Mosley and Judah had more speed than him. He was able to deal with there speed. But you right. A good body attack is something he should invest in. It'll make his night quicker

2 of those 3 guys mentioned(Judah and Clottey) faded late and Cotto was able to overcome one, Judah. And outpoint another, Clottey.

Pacquiao isn't gonna slow down late so Cotto had better not come in with the same strategy of giving those middle rounds away and coming on late with just enough. Pacquiao is going to be in his face for 12 rounds and honestly its a bad style matchup for Cotto.

Clottey landed his combos but unless he set it up with the jab he was there to catch the rest on his gloves or arms or anything, he gave Cotto chances to come on. Judah was about the same but he would land his shots and then look at his work and Cotto was able to come forward and hit him. Pacquiao will come in land his combinations and then bounce back out before Cotto gets off that counter left hook the only way Cotto is catching Pacquiao with that left is if he catches him on the way in and I don't see Cotto's left being that fast, and I don't see Cotto taking the late rounds from him either. So im gonna go with Pacquiao via stoppage.

And lets be serious ALL these guys are ducking Paul Williams technically if he can still make 47 which he can apparently. But then again who wouldn't duck that guy. But with all these welterweight fights coming its a shame to see Paul Williams not involved even though he says he can go from 147 to 168 for any fights I'd like to see him in some of these matchups. HBO got rid of Robert Guerrerro's picture from their site, they should put Paul Williams's up.

    Anyway Pacquiao late stoppage.

This is a very interesting match-up. I am very happy Manny didn't just wait for the outcome of Mayweather Marquez. With that being said I couldn't say who would win but I would give Cotto the edge. Natural weight and a viscious body puncher when he does go down there anymore. Pacquaio would probably just have to box and pick his shots and then later maybe if Cotto is hurt at all go after him in the championship rounds.

That's one thing I admire about Pacquiao - a lot of fighters would have taken a warm up fight in anticipation of meeting the winner of Mayweather/Marquez. Instead, Manny goes for one of the toughest fights he can find.

    Nice.

thats cause he is quitting boxing on going in to politics in 2010, plus he is a made boxer and has very little to prove.

i still go with pac but cotto can KO pac so till be more exciting for me to watch. and i am also worried that pac may not be as focused as before cause right now he is doing alot of things a few movies, going to provinces to gain peoples support for the upcoming elections.

we will know soon if he is going in this fight 100% if he comes in for training with roach on time.
