    Cotto-Pacquaio will almost surely happen.

at the article though, that was pure comedic gold, one of the funniest things I've read in a while.
Hence my very insightful article of recent weeks, namely do we judge fighters too much by comments or opinions attributed to them by media reports or crappy journalism rather than hearing what they themselves have to say.

Reading Miles postings is interesting to say the least. He wants to see Manny knocked out brutally for his 'grotesque' demands, frankly that's a bizarre point of view.

Manny is one of the best things to happen for boxing in a long long time. He's arguably the most exciting fighter of his generation, a very humble, dignified multiple world champ with a huge fighting heart and we should feel privaleged to see this little little big man go for history with a record breaking seventh world title win.

But Miles is once again letting his hatred of fanyboy posters warp his increasingly bitter mind.

Manny is making negotiations over weight because he's come to the very extremes of his weight limits. He has already moved through and won world titles in 6 weight classes, equalling the all time world record. He's now going for a record seventh, never in history done before.

All the other greats who won 6 world titles at 6 weights also had catchweights and negotioted hard, or in the case of Roy Jones handpicked the weakest heavyweight champ in recent history but Manny is wanting to fight the very best.

To Miles, if you think his demands are so grotesque, what other 6 weight world champ when challening for his seventh weight class was a more easy negotiator than Manny is being?

I'm a little bit surprised to see Bilbo calling out my post there. But you have pretty much summed up my thinking. The Hatton fight was something I got so excited about and really got into the build up and it was just a mauling which made me quite depressed for a while.

As for Manny's seventh title claims. Well, he is coming up from smaller weights and at a youngish age which means these weight gains are pretty natural. He is hardly James Toney in doing this. And he has slipped in the odd David Diaz on the way too. Of course, I'm going to support Cotto and Mosley over him. He beat Barrera too lest we forget.

And maybe my thoughts are somewhat bitter, but thats just because I don't want my fighters to lose.

All this switching of opponents is becoming a bit of a joke. I said in a previous post that i'd believe the Pac Cotto fight when the are stood head to head in the ring. I can't see why Arum would want to see one of his fighters beat on the other. So much BS goes on in the background that I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if this is purely to drum publicity and stir up mayweather into skipping JMM. Who knows.

All is fine, as long as we don't do a "patty cake" type rant spewing hate, complete with biased and illogical accusations hurled towards Pacquiao or anyone else for that matter, will always be a good read to me.

Don't hate on the PFP king, we are all getting carried away expending valuable energy and possibly, all for nothing... these are but pre-fight dress rehearsals or of sterner stuff in the name of negotiation.

Good topic tho' ... anything hammering Roach, Pacquiao, Khan and other winners like them on a roll, is always a magnet for illusory opinions delivered with vehement conviction, just as if indeed, it is factual!

As an audience though exposed to these rantings, one need be impartial, lest he be negatively swayed, damaged, and walkin' about with irrational thoughts. LOL!
