I agree. Cotto is a great offensive fighter, but Manny's speed will be too much for Cotto to handle. I say great fight with an 11th round TKO in Pacquiao's favor!
I would have to agree with you. Cotto will probably get stopped in the late rounds. I wont count cotto out though as he like Manny is a great technical fighter. I think Cotto also has the better chin of the two. If cotto wants to win he will need a stoppage because he wont win on points. Manny is too fast and will most deffinatly get more landed punches.
In the end I think the most deciding factor will be Freddy Roach. He always seems to have a better plan than the other trainer.

Cotto has become to some Ricky Hatton. Cotto would have beaten RH at 140 and kill him at 147. Cotto has boxing skills good chin at 147 (he took plaster shots and Clotteys shots).

So to say he will loose by Ko or trying to think he will go out like Ricky in a 1 KO punch think again, because if you do your probably a hater, not very good boxing knowlegable or just a kid who barely knows any boxer aside from Manny Pac.

About Pac I just can't say nothing but that he is the man right now but he is not facing Hatton, Oscar or Diaz. IF he does think Cotto is close to any of them he hast to re-think his gameplan.

Remember that Pauli was competitive with Cotto for some rounds. Hatton Dominated Pauli. Look what Pac haS DONE WITH HATTON? i DON'T THINK Cotto can finish Hatton as quick as Pac.
Ah yes, the triangle theory. It definitely means NOTHING!

-Taylor beat Hopkins, Pavlik beat Taylor, why did Hopkins destroy Pavlik?
-Barrera beat Morales, Pacquiao battered Barrera, how did Morales beat Pacquiao?
-Forrest beat Mosley, Mayorga dominated Forrest, why did Mosley knockout Mayorga?
-Another one with Shane. Cotto beats Shane, Margarito beats Cotto, Shane beats Margarito.

Comparing common opponents means nothing as well...
-Mayweather struggled with Castillo, Hatton rocked Castillo, Mayweather + Ringpost beat Hatton.

Either way, I see Pacquiao winning a decision but I will be on the edge of my seat the whole fight. Cotto is serious and will the biggest test of Pacquiao's career. If he gets Pac cornered or on the ropes, Pac is in trouble.

Cotto is a much smarter fighter, and technically more sound, and if he can make it difficult for Manny to land clean shots on him, I don't think Pac has the power to cause him too much trouble. Cotto has the boxing skill to land clean shots on Pac if he gets his timing right, and I don't think Pac can take that much punishment to the body. If Cotto walks on to a shot, though, it could be all over for him before it's even started. Tbh, I don't really mind who wins, though as he's the under dog I'll be supporting Cotto most likely come fight night.
I did notice Hatton land two hard shots on Manny that made him stop/pause. I even saw Oscar stop Manny in his tracks. So Manny will get hit the longer the fight goes on. Cotto has never had difficulty landing shots on anyone.

When the fight begins, the two things to watch are: a. Not only speed, but how does Cotto react to Manny's "power"? b. How does Manny respond to Cotto's power? If Manny is in full retreat/box backwards mode early, Cotto will destroy Pac. But if Pac manages to stay in the middle of the ring with Cotto, he may get a decision.

That's his best bet. Even though he's changed a lot, Pacquiao was KO'd by a bodyshot from a guy that throws with a fraction of Cotto's power. No amount of technique and training will fix that though it may alleviate it. If Cotto wants win he needs to go downstairs big time.

Same here. Hatton would have effectively fought Pacquiao if he hadn't changed in with his hands at his waist. He had power that stopped Manny in his tracks. Cotto has more power but more importantly more defense.

Cotto needs to make a smart fight and calmed to prevent a flashing left from Pacman similar to Hatton. Cotto have to press the fight using his lateral and head movements and not going straight to Pacman right hook as Hatton. Cotto also needs to focus on his speed, and he has it as shown in his fight with Mosley. Not sure why he looked so slow in his last fight... I guess they were more focused on strength based on the opponent and this time they need to work the speed. I see Cotto dominating Pacman, and I see this fight as a candidate to fight of the year because it should not be an easy task. I cannot weight to watch it...

I think either guy can take it.

Pacquiao takes it if he fights the same fight, he fought against DLH, which was lateral movement, and quick counters in and out. Pacquiao's speed is a huge factor in this fight.

Cotto wins if he applys pressure behind his jab, works to get to Pacquaio's body early and is able to maintain a good workrate, if he can do these things, i think he will take Pacquiao out. His power and size advantage are huge factors in this fight and he will have to try and use them.

I like both fighters but i'm a bigger fan of Cotto so i'm rooting for him.

I will be happy whoever wins though.

Agree with you. Cotto's jab will be a key weapon in this fight.

People are overlooking Cotto in this fight because he struggled with the massive and skilled Clottey.

Pacquiao is a better fighter than Clottey but stylistically is a easier matchup for Cotto because Cotto has only really struggled with fighters who were bigger than him (Margarito and Clottey).

The Snapshot of Pacs last 2 fights dont make a damn bit of differnce against Cotto

    1) when was the last time you saw Cotto run in after an opponent without headmovement or a jab? Cotto dosent charge after his opponent

    2) When has Cotto not been a Superb counterpuncher? He isint going to be a zombie like Delahoya and allow many to throw without major consequences.

Roach and Pac are opportunists and they picked Hatton as a good style for Pac and a Zombie in Delahoya.. Cotto is going to punish Pac really bad. What Miguel is going to do to Manny's body will be a brutal display
