Let's start with DLH. As much as I thoroughly enjoyed (and could watch over and over) Pac's destruction and humiliation of Oscar, even I admit it wasn't the same Oscar. It was a shell of the old Oscar, and everyone knows it. Of course, kudos to Pac and his camp, because they had no way of knowing this beforehand, and still took a great chance.
Now for Hatton. There is NO WAY IN HELL that Cotto should EVER be confused with Hatton. Hatton proved for all to see that he didn't belong in the same neighborhood, much less in the same ring, as Pacquiao. All this pre-fight hype and Hatton saying he was fighting for the world's p4p title... HAH! He was exposed in a vicious two-round annihilation. No defense... rudimentary boxing skills... suspect chin.
Cotto, on the other hand, is a proven warrior at 147 with all the tools. Over different fights in the past, he's shown speed and boxing skills (Mosley), heart and guts (Clottey), power (Quintana).
It won't be easy for EITHER fighter. In fact, it's gonna be one of the more entertaining fights in recent history. Why? Because both fighters leave it all in the ring, and neither one is going to back down.
My only concern is that Pacquaio does pack a good punch and is a slick southpaw, not a comfortable opponent for any fighter.
But it's gonna be a hell of a war. Can't wait!!
