Arreola needs to add boxing skills big time. He is tough and can take punishment. But he needs to get tough in the skill game.

Cris needs to study the style of short and successful fighters like Tyson and Joe Frazier. They had what Cris need to learn and do if he wants to have any success in this sport. They had bobbing and weaving, side to side head movement, and they mastered the hook to the body and left and right hook to the head. Cris did none of that against Vitaly, he does not have that arsenal, he needs to learns them fast.

Get a new trainer to teach those skills, Cris. You boyhood friend is not a top level trainer. Get the trainers that trained Tyson or know the style of Frazier.

Tyson and Frazier would have KO'd Klitschko in less than 5 rounds.

Arreola is 6'4...why would he ever want to fight like Mike Tyson who was 5'10

If beating either Klitschko was easy then someone would have done it by now. It's not easy, infact it's downright difficult which is why they are dominating the division and everyone they fight is getting the shit beaten out of them.

When people start bringing up all-time greats like Joe Frazier (who stylistically doesn't match up well vs either brother) and saying "____ could have had Klitschko out of there in 5" it shows the forum that either we have a hater or at least someone who doesn't respect the skill of the Klitschko's. Did Joe Frazier ever fight anyone as big AND athletic as Wlad or Vitali NO and he damn sure didn't fight anyone that big who could box that well. Ali was athletic, but he was at least 3 inches shorter than Vitali....and if Frazier traded 3 punches taken for 1 punch landed vs either Klitschko Smokin Joe would get smoked.

Right now The Klitschko's are the best we have and that DOES mean something, people said the same bullcrap about Lennox Lewis when he was champion. All I can tell you is get used to the Klitschko's being at the top, Wlad is only 33, he's got a ways to go before he retires, Vitali may have 3-4 fights or so before hanging up the gloves.

Hopefully this makes Cris train harder and maybe we could see an Arreola-Peter fight!
Fro What I saw of this fight on streams on the internet he looked totally outclassed but full of heart. If he could drop 15-20lbs of flab and come back faster I see him making serious noise in the division but not until, as for Peter, he would get KO'd if he fought Arreola IMO.

McCall was American & had major issues. Bruno had severe mental health problems.

Anyway I seem to recall you saying that you had a cry after the Hatton-Pacquiao fight. At least Arreola was actually involved in the fight to cry about missing out on the title he's dreamed about his whole life.

Man this is fucking sad how can anyone give hime crap for crying. My god the man showed he was human and went for broke trying to win. Seem tough enough to me taking a beating for Vitali for 10 rounds. Shit all i can is that it was refreshing to see someone with passion in the ring. I mean everyone that fights the Klitschos kinda just roll over it seems.

Not necessarily. Getting in shape is easy when you're training 3 hours per day. Why have the majority of the other heavyweights not managed it?

That's a fight I'd definitely want to see

Arreola was in good condition, he just didn't looked "ripped" he looked "rippled" but that's the first ever time he went past 8 rounds and he did it with Vitali Klitschko who by the way threw more punches in 10 rounds than Floyd Mayweather Jr. threw in 12.

And smart strategy by Vitali...much as I can't stand the retarded giraffe looking fucker.
Props for looking disgustingly fat for the fight of his life? He may beat Klitchko in a Nathans Hotdog eating contest but not a boxing match!
Arreola fought his heart out though, that's the point here. There is no way you can say he didn't give his utmost effort.
"Effort includes preparing for the fight , he cheated himself !!!"

Just an FYI: do you know that the Klitschko v. Arreola fight was HBO's highest-rated boxing match of the year, 2.124 million viewers. “Fighting Words” – Fernando Guerrero: Big Draw in a Small City - Boxing News .
