Because Haye's always been scared of taking on a challenge !!! What a suprise he says he's gonna fight one of the Klitchkoes (however its spelled) next. I'll sig bet anyone that Haye fights one of the brothers next, frankly i think he'll lose but you can never claim that Haye has never taken a challenge.
I never said he is scared of a challenge, or never has taken one, I said he might be scared of THIS challenge.
If he fights either of them next, he'll gain my respect for sure. But, it doesn't change the fact that he ran from two fights with them already this year... and until he does fight them, I'll have my doubts about how far his bravery goes. It's nothing against him personally, just logic speaking. I'm sure pretty much everyone feels the same.

I'll take a sigi bet with you that he fights Ruiz next, because if he doesn't the WBA will probably GIVE the title to Ruiz and make him defend against Valuev.
Haye vs Ruiz is a total non-entity, I can't see Haye doing more than laughing at Ruiz....it'll be a Klitschko fight next, even if Haye leaves the WBA belt empty.

To be honest Greg I think he wont be to arsed about the WBA Belt if he can fight one of the Kilts both will offer a chance to win a version of the belt. I think It all depends on the $$$.

Some people make me laugh on here Dirrell did exactly the same against Froch and was hailed as a boxing masterclass, Haye does a similar job and no one is giving him credit hahahaha, love the unbias opinions on here.
I think the problem with him getting to klits next, the WBA belt will actually be his bargaining chip, the WBA will know that and use it to cash in on as much sanctioning fees as they can. I agree with the Haye/Dirrell comparison but it cuts both ways as far as the arguments go.

For the record I hope he drops the belt in the garbage on the way to the hotel room because it's gonna be a curse on him if he tries to keep it.

Not sure if he did enough to win, but fair play to David
Would have liked to have seen more aggression but there is only so much he could have done fighting the giant.
He showed class and professionalism in changing his style, tactics, patience and staying with the fight plan so to enable THE WIN.
I would have liked him to be more aggressive but HE DID WHAT HE HAD TO DO TO WIN.
You yanks will love this, as its the first of the dismantling of the 'Russian dominance'
I'm sure you boys will all criticise David, but give him respect for his tactics and what he has just achived.
At the end of the day he's achived what you boys could'nt he's ripped the title away from the circus show.
Give Smooth Style some respect he's bigged up the Haye for a year now, he called it spot on.

    What?
The cold war is over, Ivan Drago lost long ago........we're over it (except for Lyle)

The only Americans that have fought Valuev were from the senior league.

Ill accept that sig bet killersheep, although in the heat of the moment I did forget about the whole Ruiz mandatory fiasco (how many world title shots does the guy need !!!!) and was altogther not so sure of myself when you mentioned it. Still I think Haye will fight either of the brothers next, not really sure as others have pointed out that being stripped of the belt will be less of a bargaining chip; he won the title and being stripped of it to not fight Ruiz will hardly dent his reputation I feel.

Still we'll see and right now Im just going to enjoy the fact that my favourite UK fighter of present (along with Khan ...... I know slate me all you want ) has come through. If i didnt have a fucking massive and important essay in on Monday I'd be partying it up.

    Fucking Uni !!!!
