    ...But Haye is crap
Oh yeah I agree with you on that. If Valuev was 6 ft 3 he wouldn't get past the first round of a Prizefighter competition let alone fight for a world title.

I don't really have a problem with Haye winning, I mean Valuev was shit. But let's be real, Haye did no more than Holyfield did, he did no more than Ruiz did in their first fight either. In those cases Valuev got the decisions purely because of his freakish appearance imo and the fact that he was better for the heavyweight division.

Right now though, we all know Valuev sucks and he's not marketable any more whereas Haye with his cockyness and buff body certainly creates headlines so predictably he gets the nod in a close fight.

But he shouldn't be engaging in any self praise over this performance. He fought a TERRIBLE opponent in Valuev who I'd pick at least a dozen other heavies to beat him easily and instead he just ran around for 3 minutes and then landed a token punch before the bell. It was pathetic and in the light of all his smacktalk just emphasised what a bullshitter Haye is.

He will get SMASHED by either Klitschko, he just won't have any answers for either of them, and they will just take him slowly take him apart and dismantle him, it will be a joy to see.

I'm not convinced he even gets that far though. I think John Ruiz has a real chance at beating him, maybe even stopping him.
Or maybe showed how smart he is.

Look at the interest in the fight, it was huge. He didn't just make the casual fan want to tune-in he conned all the hardcores and "experts" into thinking he would go out gung-ho trying to smash Valuev out.

Instead he had a 12 round game plan in place all along - which he pulled off. Great stuff.
I know I only have the American perspective here, and I'm sure it was huge in the UK and Germany, but in the US the PPV was cancelled because of lack of interest.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Bilbo, Wlad has stated that he's going to carry Haye into the 12th round and then KO him.....of course Booth could spoil that plan as you have suggested.

Do you guys think Haye will try to fight Ruiz the same way he fought Valuev

I didn't see the fight, because I knew valuev is crap and from the sounds of it haye is the biggest hypocrite in boxing. Hmm I'm pretty sure there were a lot of brits criticising wlad for being "boring" in his last 10 fights or so(which usually ends up in the other guy bein ko'd/tko'd) yet when haye "boxes" and puts on an apparently really borring fight, he's somehow the saviour of boxing, yeah right. Only time I will ever tune in to a haye fight is if I know he's fighting someone with a punch to see him ktfo.

I'd agree but I don't really see the double standard... nobody has said it was a stellar performance or that doing juuuust enough to beat Valuev has proven that Haye is the second coming.
(you're welcome to quote people saying that but we both know you can't)

People have just said that he won the fight... I don't know if all of us limey bastards (I didn't expect racist comments from you... I'm genuinely shocked ) are going crazy over haye's apparently emphatic domination of a fight is in your head or if you're just inventing it because you enjoy ranting.

It's a HUGE story over here (i'm surprised how big it is). Been on the news all day before they even get to the sports section.

We already knew it wasn't big news in the States. How could it have been?

But look at all the internet forums. Did the Dawson-Johnson fight even go ahead last night? You wouldn't have thought it
