Not always and it depends on the gym.

I've been in plenty of gyms and thought I'm not doing the exercises they want because I consider them to be dangerous, badly planned and just ass-backwards in terms of training method. In those cases I modify them if I'm working out as a group or go when I can do my own thing.

If you can do a split routine it would be better. Consider what you are looking to train. Most people would think everything all the time! Good luck with that. If you want to work speed don't do it when you're going to be doing long circuits OR at least do speedwork beforehand.
