I heard something similar except it wasn't ownership but he wants GM duties as well as coaching, pretty much giving him a blank check on what he wants to do with the franchise. I would be totally for it in Buffalo.
Apparently he said no to the Bills according to Rds.ca (french canadian website)

I have been shocked and dumbfounded today....our local supermarket did not only lack pumpkin pie, it also had no pumpkin pie filling either. What am I going to eat during the triple-header beer-fest?

I'll tell you what, pecan pie..they had that. Got some boys coming round for a thanksgiving-ish dinner and footba-wl and a beer or ten.

All three games yesterday were shite. They really need to start thinking about getting rid of the tradition of the Lions playing every year.

It's like Singletary said, at this point in the year we have more weapons in the passing game then we do the running game. Earlier in the year that just wasn't true and that's why early in the year it was probably the right call to have Shaun Hill as QB.

We won our first 3 games and and 59 minutes of the next one for a reason. In the Vikings game we kind of got burned for putting our defense on the field to many times in the 4th quarter. That was kind of the slow shift to Alex Smith and the spread offense. Gore went out that game, most of our o-line went a couple weeks later and then Crabtree signed.

Once Crabtree signed, Shaun Hill had Glen Coffee and a hobbling Gore tto give it to with a very banged up o-line using reserves and guys from the Jaguars blocking for them. The downhill running game just wasn't there anymore (and wasn't totally there at any point in the year, even the wins) so Mike Singletary surprised me with his versatility, bringing in Smith and not being afraid to go against what he said previously. This is when I knew Singletary would be a great coach past all the ra-ra stuff. Dennis Erickson, Mike Nolan and even Mariucci once his screen passes were shut down just weren't adaptable enough. You have to play to your teams strengths and that's why we saw Smith in shotgun almost 30 times last game, that's a big deal because it allows for those split second reads where you give your playmakers (Crabtree, Davis) chance to do just that.

At the beginning of the year our passing game pecking order went something like this.

    Gore
    Davis
    Bruce
    Morgan
    Coffee

The only guy who got to compile some gaudy numbers was Gore and Morgan and Bruce just weren't terrorizing any defenses.

Now we have Crabtree at the number 1 receiver, Bruce has gone from number 1 to reserve "mentor" as Singletary has said. If no one picks him up after this year, he wants to get into coaching so he's getting an early start. In addition to Davis we have DeLaney Walker our second tight end who is probably one of the speediest tight ends in the league, he's been very good when he's inserted into that spread offense set. Jason Hill has also had a very good past few weeks, taking his spot from last year away from Brandon Jones. It looks more like this now.

    Davis
    Crabtree
    Gore
    Morgan
    Walker
    Hill

Obviously we just have more in the passing game. I'm very excited for this group, I think Smith has played excellent and believe just as Jimmy Raye said 'bordering on great' because look what he was thrown into. They say there might be a QB controversy next year, how? Shaun Hill may have as many wins but he obviously just doesn't make best use of our assets like Smith does. Unless we can get like McNabb or a really established winner, I don't see how you don't have Smith as your no. 1. Btw, he's 25 years old, which means by QB years he is still very young.

I think we can win out, but I worry about Philadelphia especially is DeSean Jackson is active. Jackson, Macklin and Avant doesn't really seem right to me Our defense isn't really the fastest thus why we get beat to the edges by guys like Steve Slaton and Chris Johnson and not by guys like Adrian Peterson or Michael Turner. Same goes for recievers.

Well my boys got beat again, just puts us in a better drafting spot so I'm ok with it I new the season was over anyway. Gotta give it up to the Jet Revis is one helluva CB could possibly be the best in the league. He has shut down some of the best WR in the league this year.
