    The Ring Super Middleweight Ratings

Ward destroyed the MAN in the division.

Bute knocked out a mid-level contender.
The Ring are pathetic, there is an argument that Froch should even be higher than Bute his three wins over Pascal,Taylor and Dirrell (if you agree he won or not,its still a win) are better than anything Bute has done imo.

    1.Ward
    2.Froch
    3.Bute

That's how I would have it as well. I could even see the justification in putting Kessler ahead of Bute.

    1 Ward
    2 Bute
    3 Abraham

Just because I thought (most of us) that Dirrell won vs Froch.

Now that is just silly. Bute got a good win, but it was only Andrade!

Ward and Froch should be above him really.

    Nope. Interbox.

    PErsonally:

    Ward
    Abraham
    Bute
    Froch

Abraham disposed of Taylor and played well with him opposite to Froch who got schooled, sparked and won because Taylor lacked of Gas. TO me, it is a major difference that explains why King Arthur should be infront of Froch.

That is true but if you want to play conspiracy theorist, Bute is the only elite Super-Middle not tied to Showtime for the next two years. Goldenboy has an out put deal with HBO for the next two years. And Goldenboy promoted the Bute vs Andrede(because they won the pure bid).

So Bute is the only elite supermiddle that Goldenboy has any conection to.

They Co-promoted the first fight if I am correct and the second one was promoted by Interbox mainly. They were here because only because they Promote Andrade. Also, Bute has an exclusive contract with iNterbox for the 2 years to come. Perhaps Golden BOy would have interest in him, that I can't say, but for the moment, they have no grasp over him whatsoever

Abrahams better than all of them IMO. Just a matter of time until he proves it. Bute is good but I think this is rings way of saying whoever wins super 6 is irrelevant cuz Bute is top dog.

They did same with Pacquiao he beats number 3 Cotto and jumps straight over number 1 Mosley and number 2 Mayweather to become number 1 in the Welterweight division.

    ridiculous

kessler, froch, abraham, ward and dirrell all beat bute on their day

What stinks is that we wont truly now how good bute is for another couple of years having to wait for the super6 to reach its conclusion.

2 sets of matches, plus semis and a grand final means that bute may not get a shot at froch or abraham for another 2 and a half years with by then both probably deciding to call it a day anyway

Ward beat Kessler who supposedly was the man in the division, but really what has Kessler done? I like Kessler and think he should destroy Froch, but his loss to Calzaghe for some reason made him famous. Don't forget Kessler's best wins were Mundine and Andrade. Bute's wins over Bika and Andrade (twice and once by knockout, being the first to stop him) are just as good in terms of the level of fighter (Mundine won't get near a ring with Bika). Moreover, Bute has beat two top ten super middleweights - Ward and Kessler have each only beat one.

And Ward? Kessler had a better resume than Ward going into the fight. Ward has beat Kessler and Miranda, but other than that he has beat NO ONE of note. Bute has a much better all-around resume than Ward.

Now, I dislike the guy a lot for his pompous attitude, but Froch may have the best resume at SMW with wins over the current lhw champion, Pascal, former middleweight champion, Taylor, and former Olympian, Dirrell.

Based on Resume alone, not taking into account potential ability, the list should probably look like:
    1. Froch
    2. Bute
    3. Ward
    4. Kessler
    5. Abraham
    6. Bika
Oh, and Bute would absolutely destroy Froch. I'd favor him in a fight with anyone on that list other than maybe Ward unless the fight was in Montreal and Marlon was reffing.

    Never

Dirrell beats ward if they ever fight...froch would just own the pair of them!

I think that you never have seen Bute fight properly to imagine that Froch, Kessler, Abraham, Ward and Dirrell all beat him single handed. He's way stronger physically than Dirrell and as fast if not faster plus he's an evil southpaw, Froch is not fast enough to have a real chance against him. KEssler... well, I want to see how he bounces back before making any predictions but now I think Bute could get him too. Abraham is a brick of wall but doesn't move much, which could give lucian some good shots at him (not saying he,ll beat him but he has the potential to). WArd is very fast and seems on a mission, that would be at this very moment the hardest pick but still, even if Ward would won, I don't think it would be a sole pleasure thing.
