Im not saying your claiming Amir Khan is number 1, what im saying is how the hell can you say Amir Khan is this and that. When he hasn't beaten one single world class opponent or one good opponent ?

Shouldn't you wait and see how he does vs a puncher, or any of the other names i listed before. Before you start saying he would beat JMM and ETC.

I don't like Amir Khan but i don't hate him, im more frustrated than anything else. That he isn't fighting any legit opponents, after this fight he has to fight atleast Marcos Rene Maidana.

If he beats him i will give him credit, because not only has he beat a puncher. He's beaten a fighter with a name whos a live dangerous opponent.

I also never said he wasn't a good prospect, i just want to know good he truly is.
If that's true why do you feel the need to disrespect him then? I mean why create a thread with the title 'Forget the Amir Khan fight...'. I mean you think it was a soft opponent, ok fair enough, but he blitzed him in truly sensational style and made his first world title defence inside 76 seconds. That's impressive, whether the guy was world class or not. Why can't you just praise Kevin Mitchell's performance without raining on Amir?

There are so many of you who absolutely hate on him, whenever he fights all we get his hate threads afterwards with people whining about him.

If you don't hate him, and think he is a good prospect then give him a chance.

Let me ask you this, how he could he possibly have been moved any faster in his last four fights than he has been?

He came off a devastating 1 round loss, and so went in with Osin Fagin. A respectable opponent for a comeback fight but a light hitter obviously, certainly no different from Cotto coming back against Michael Jennings, a sensible choice.

Then he got paired with Barrera, a fight where most laughed when it was announced saying he would get killed. Then he won every single round. The cut was very unfortunate, but not Amir's fault, he still did his job.

Then he fought for a world title fight, and ANY world title fight is a big fight.

He wins that and makes his mandatory and wins that.

So let me ask you, in that space of time, what more could he have done? He had to take a comeback fight, he then defeated a legend, then won a world title, then defended it against the mandatory guy he HAD to defend against.

What more could he have done?

Kevin Mitchell is 25 and has only stepped up to Breidas Prescott level tonight.
He could of faced an opponent who hits harder than a 12 year old girl. It's pretty obvious every opponent he's faced since the Prescott debacle are non-punches. How can he be improved if he's still being protected?
I can see where your coming from and I know Barrera was old, BUT he hits harder than a 12 year old girl and to me was a risk for Khan. Ok he got an easier night than he might have due to the cut from the clash of heads but it was a risk that I was shocked to see Khan take.
