I'm just trying to look at it from their eyes as in why some would use the race card. I'm not saying it's right or wrong. Because the USA has a little bit more derison for them and their physical, athletic abilities, and manhood. Maybe a place like Canada and a few countries in western europe doesnt. But the USA is the leader of the Western world and it's representative and largest country. What it says goes and it represents the west.
ANd as an American I know this country has a derision for them, their countries and their people. You really don't think America's wars with them in China, N. Korea, Vietnam, (proxy wars in the cold war), and the Phillipines (early 20th century) hasn't shaped America's view of them? It has, it's represented in society, media (tv, newspapers, films) and a plethora of other mediums.

Thread's getting out of hand I think. Was a pretty good read until I came to these exchanges. I understand your way of thinking, but as a non American, I could say that your country has a derision not just on Asians but also on other non Caucasian races if I go by your way of thinking. It's early morning here and I'm just getting off work, so my apologies if my post seems muddled. Just saying that you're not doing your country any good by stating what you just said, at least for me it's not.
As an aside, America never had an open war with China. They were helping them fight off the Japanese back in WW2. Sorry for being way OT, but I wasn't expecting to see these kinds of posts in a boxing forum.

He's being crucified because he can only come up with ridiculous excuses to avoid giving a teaspoon of blood to prove he isn't a drugs cheat. It certainly looks like he's got something to hide, doesn't it?
Yeah, I guess the ill-feeling is with basis.![]()
This is how I see it.This is how I would rewrite the history of the Filipino people if given the chance.
We Filipinos fought the imperialist Americans during the early 2oth century and we surrendered immediately after 1 year of struggle. There were so many traitors among us that fighting the Americans seems to be doing a civil war. Anyway, America immediately granted us our freedom with the condition that all their surpluses/wastes will be thrown to us.
We were hoping to be the 51st state of America after they purchase us from the Spaniards but some of our leaders believe that it was better for us to live in hell than to be part of America. The reason why we're now living in hell. So many corrupt politicians trying to make decisions for us!
Probably, this feeling of animosity between Filipinos and Americans was carried in our genes.
Some Americans could not forgive us for wanting freedom.
They hated us even more when we decided to close all the US bases in the Philippines.
Btw, props to the vietnamese. They won the war where we have lost badly.
But why are we talking about this issue in a boxing forum?![]()

Ikariam
I know this is late but here's my take on this: It's probably because of the influx of the overzealous Pacquiao fanatics that poured over the Internet around 2007 or 2008. Pacquiao's looks like a good guy but it's most likely because of this Pinoy-Pride thing. I personally don't like it. You can't see too many Mexican or Puerto Rican fanboys around waving their *insert popular mexican/puerto rican/etc. boxer name here* flag.
I can't really blame the Pac-haters on this one since they didn't start it in the first place.
As for the blood testing thing. I have to side with the pro blood-test camp here. The drug accusation deed is done and the only thing that can fix it is to go along their sub 30 day blood-testing wishes. Innocent until proven guilty is garbage in this day and age. Yes. it sucks, but life's like that.
i think the reason non-pacroido fans are getting on his case so much is because of his over zealous, racially motivated nationalistic fans of his. i've been to many boxing websites and these idiots have got to be the most racist pigs on the internet. the things they are saying about mayweather jr. and his family is simply outrageous and scandalous. they even go as far as compare any black person who is a fan of mayweather jr.'s as a ape, monkey, etc...so no, i don't feel sorry for pacroido one bit. in fact, he can thank his idiotic fans for the negative publicity he is getting.
