Not for me Floyd will punish Shane for a big ud win.

I think Mosley will have his moments but Floyd wins so clearly that before the fight is over people are talking about how old Mosley is. Mosley nearly lost to Mayorga a while ago, he got outboxed by Cotto. Floyd wins.

Some bold statements being made on this thread, no way am I jumping on this wagon. Floyd will dominate Mosley. As some have already said I don't think Floyd will get fair credit because I think he will make it look so easy and people will just say that Mosley was old.
McGirt recalling the minute break between the 9th round of the Ward fight "He said, 'Help me stand up and I'll finish the fight.'"
right because Floyd and Margarito have such a similar defense. it took about 9 rounds of endless unguarded flush punches to Margarito's skull before he was dropped, you're fooling yourself if you think that's gonna be Floyd. if anything the person that will be getting clean all night would be Mosley.
Majesty....Shane coming on late in a fight would be a NIGHTMARE for Floyd. Floyd gets his wins by outrunning early and then outgunning late
Shane coming on late will give Floyd more chances to counter. have you ever seen Floyd get tired? When's the last time you've seen Floyd get tired in the ring? Just because another fighter hasn't been able to come on late in a fight against Floyd doesn't mean Floyd doesn't have another gear.
Know why the fighters get tired? Because they go through about 6 or 7 rounds of expending their energy trying to hit Floyd and can't and Floyd has great conditioning and can come on late. Floyd comes on late in a fight too, ask Corrales. After about the 5th or 6th round Floyd begins to pick it up. So if Shane comes on late in a fight he'll just be matched by Floyd, because Floyd comes on late in the fight too. The thing is Shane is going to be the one spending more energy in the early rounds. So it won't be a nightmare for Floyd. Judging how Shane looked against Mayorga I'd be more worried about how much Shane will have left. If he got tagged all night by Mayorga and had issues with those telegraphed punches, then Floyd will be a NIGHTMARE for him. Margarito is slow, Mayorga has a little bit of speed and caught Mosley. So I have a hard time seeing how Mosley is gonna deal with Floyd's speed.
You brought up a point where you said Floyd has trouble with jabs, he really doesn't, everyone points to the Oscar fight but they neglect that the reason Oscar stopped using the jab was because Floyd started countering it and even hurt him with a straight right. So Floyd has shown he has an answer for the jab.
However Shane never has. Shane doesn't have an answer for the jab he has never shown one and Mayweather has a good jab too, to the body and to the head. So you should be more worried about Shane not having an answer for the jab as opposed to Mayweather.
Floyd doesn't get tired because people are too cautious about coming after him. Now Shane can't get careless but he's going to have to apply pressure and he can do that by winning a couple rounds and then making Floyd come to him OR Shane can work behind a steady jab and try to time Floyd for a big punch.
Floyd's going to be the hands down favorite for a reason he's skilled as hell but Shane is a tough matchup for him and I think that Floyd MAY try to make a statement to Pacquiao's camp by trying to destroy Shane and perhaps it's that which finally makes Floyd vulnerable to a fighter who is at the end of his career and who wants one more big win on his record. Floyd may be laying low for Shane but never sleep on the guy, he's tough, he's rugged, and he's got quick powerful hands.....this is the most dangerous fight of Floyd's career
The comment that you know PBF inside out suggest that he is quite ordinary, or you are quite unique. Unique implies one of a kind. How the hell can he be one of a kind when YOU can literally CALL his offensive as it unfolds. Are you then unique also?I just know him inside out.
It must be just me
In his own unique way, he does things very much by 'the book'. Move-by-move... I can, quite literally, call his offensive as it unfolds
Read my post properly. I never once said 'that PBF is not a unique and exceptional talent'.![]()
Further, there is something very oxymoronic about a unique fighter doing everything by the book. If he did everything by the book it would be easy to formulate a plan to beat him. Floyd Mayweather adapts his strategy in the ring according to what his opponent brings to the table.

"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."
- and I quote from some random guy on the internet

we all know mosley aint beating floyd, be realistic now

Hope Shane catches him early and hurts him so that the fight balances out a touch.
Otherwise I think Floyd makes him look slow not because he is, but because of Floyds timing and lateral movement to counter; when Shane comes straight at him trying to use forward body movement to empathize his hand speed.
Go Shane.
Mayweather is just much to lucid in transition for Mosley, I see him winning virtually every round against any version of Mosley save for prior to say 2003. This thread definetly needs to be bumped after the fight happens imo. And don't get me wrong, it's a great fight and great for the sport, but probably moreso the latter at this point.
