Potential Upsets

Miranda can punch and I think "even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then" and I think he's got the chance to land on a guy who has been careless enough to get caught by other not so great fighters. Bute damn well better play it safe vs Miranda early. Also Edison isn't above fouling the hell out of Bute to land punches too. If Miranda breaks Bute's jaw (which obviously can happen) like he broke Abraham's I don't see Bute having the success AA did.

I know Guinn is a real long shot but I haven't been impressed by Povetkin. I've seen Povetkin get popped by Eddie Chambers enough to swell his eye shut and I've seen Povetkin gas out in the very same fight and had Eddie thrown ANYTHING in the last 3 rounds Povetkin would have been stopped...he was that tired. And he was ineffective with his attack BUT of course that's against Eddie Chambers' defense so I think he'll land on Guinn but he won't hurt Guinn and pair that with Guinn's power (when he throws) and Povetkin's questionable stamina then you've got a chance at an upset.

The reason why they are called "upsets" is because they are unexpected.

defence is rock solid early on but with bute you always get feeling that come 8-9 onwards he can tend to become flat footed and a big puncher will always stand a chance against him.

His a world class fighter that always puts on a good show at the bell centre. But im convinced that the second he steps out of canada and fights genuine class like most of the super6 boys he is gonna get found out

I think a guy like Carl Froch (if he lasts and there's little reason to think otherwise) can beat Bute. Bute reminds me a lot of Yusaf Mack, he can box, he has decent pop, but a durable opponent that has a steady attack can get to him....just my opinion. I know Miranda hasn't been the most durable or steady with his attack but he's still dangerous.

Well I guess Povetkin-Guinn isn't on now it's Povetkin-Javier Mora.....so I highly doubt there will be an upset there

I agree. Bute is an outstanding talent and he would have entered into the Super 6 as one of the favorites (he would have been my choice to win).

If Librado Andrade can beat the crap out of bute i sure as hell dont give him much chance against far heavier hitters like kessler, abraham and smarter fighters like froch and dirrell.

Whatever VD, you clearly don't know boxing. It's always the slickest, smartest fighters like Froch who don't get credit. Froch is so smart that he knew that if he threw punches at air all night against Dirrell & focused on punching accurately only when in the clinch, then the judges would give him a extremely dubious decision. He's a tactical mastermind.
