Clottey has a height, reach, natural weight advantage, decent power and a good chin. This is the biggest fight of his career.

Pac pulled out of a $50 million dollar super fight with his reputation tainted by drug accusations for this.

It has upset written all over it.

    Clottey - TKO.

Let's hope so. Come on Clottey!

Hopefully this is stage one in the dismantling of the divas. I've been watching more Clottey interviews this morning and I like the guy, it will be good to see him pull out the win.

Everyone is predicting a Manny win and the arguments are persuasive, but anything can happen in boxing. I want an upset!

I would love to see it happen as well, but Clottey was a very carefully selected opponent. The matchmaking is top notch in order to preserve the Mayweather fight down the line while giving Pacquiao a good win on paper in the meantime.
I really don't see why on earth Clottey would be any more fired up for this fight than he was against Cotto? Surely he had to know that fight was the biggest of his career, and possibly his last marquee oppourtunity... And he completely gave the fight away. He let Cotto take the last 2 rounds from him when he was MUCH worse for wear, why? He just doesn't have that higher gear it takes to beat top guys, it would have been lunacy for him to really imagine he had the fight won by the judges..
Pacquiao is way to fast for him, Clottey has no equalizer whatsoever, and he can't begin to match the pace Manny is going to set. I actually expect this to be completely lopsided the more I think about it, Clottey might win a round or two of the first five, then he will just continue to cover up falling further and further behind taking punishment. Maybe Manny stops him maybe not, but he's going to completely run away with it after the mid rounds. It's really dead easy to see why the fight was made when you contrast styles, Manny will be in and out all day and Clottey is going to look like a putz by the end of the fight.

I don't see a James Buster Douglass upset in the making. If Pacquiao can take Cotto's shots like they were nothing, I really don't see him having a problem taking Clottey's shots.
