Feom the above article, There is something I don't quite understand or maybe reading it wrong. To me it seems that Funeka has to weigh in 145 or below and Guzman has to weight 150 or below. I'm confused as something about that doesn't seem to add up. Why should there be a weight restriction like that on Funeka??
Clearly Funeka needs to weigh under 145 to fight for the IBF belt, they are allowing Guzman to go over because he can no longer fight for it.
If Funeka weighed over 145 the fight could still happen (I guess) but Funeka would forfeit the right to fight for a world title as well.
It's not that unfair to Funeka, it's just he's obviously still trying to fight in accordance with the rules for the right to win the belt, whereas Guzman obviously doesn't give a fuck.
It will be interesting to see if Funeka does weigh under the limit or if he comes in heavy and gives up the title opportunity to enhance his winning chances against a much heavier and cheating opponent.
