Yeah, it is the usual suspects talking complete shit. It's amazing the number of keyboard warriors calling Dirrell a pussy, when they wouldn't last a minute in the ring with his grandad, let alone him.

Oh & if Dirrell was acting, he must Robert DeNiro's son because he's phenomenal. I mean seriously anyone who thinks he was acting is just out to lunch as far as I'm concerned or they're still too caught up in trying to find a victory for their man.

I've yet to see any of the idiots give one single logical reason why Dirrell would feign a seizure and delusion to get out of a fight he was clearly winning. All of a sudden all these morons are experts on head injuries too .

One thing I'm convinced this shows up is people who've never boxed or seen someone KO'd. It's very rarely an instant reaction. I mean for fuck's sake, when Abraham KO'd Taylor, JT looked like he was conscious & still trying to get up. If Dirrell was acting, he doesn't need to be boxing anymore because he can make $25m a role as a Hollywood superstar.

Give over mate. You don't need to be an expert in anything to see when somebody is trying it on. It was embarrassing, it wasn't even good acting. He'd been knocked down in the previous round, Abraham was putting it on him, and he took the easy way out imo.

Fair do's when someone does KO you, but i've never ever seen a fighter acknowledge the punch with a WTF stare, grimace like it hurt him, and then flop to the canvas, roll outside the ring and then back in it. It would have been semi believable if he'd have let the Dr look into his eyes, and he'd have convinced more people afterwards if he didn't pull out the 'i don't know where i am' card. What's worse is how the broadcast team lapped it all up, and it was even more painful to see them grabbing an interview with the Dr, in the middle of him being concerned about his brain bleeding.

You and others are of course entitled to your opinion, but in my honest opinion, Boxing turned into the WWE last night and that's not a good road to go down.

Simple, he'd been put on his arse the round before (10th) and was lucky to get away with it. Abraham was pressuring him. It was actually a punch that caused the slip. Abraham had a brilliant KO win in the 12 in his last fight, and Abraham gave Dirrell the option to take the easy way out.

I think he's a shithouse for doing so. Don't get me wrong, it would have been a tempting offer and once he started rolling around he had to continue going on with it. Split second decision. If you watch you can actually see the second where he thinks about it.

All this talk about calling people Keyboard Warriors is irrelevant. None of us are walking round claiming to be the best fighter in the world.

1 - Dirrell got up from that knock down with very little trouble at all

2 - It was not a punch that caused the slip. He dodged that punch and slipped. Look at the slow motion replay.

3 - No one has to claim to be the best fighter in the world. Instead what you are doing is claiming that you know more about what a man can do after taking a clean hit, and no one doing all the talking has any personal experience, or expertiese to go on.

1 only emphasises my point. The shot that put him on his arse in the 10th was harder than the shot that supposedly almost killed him. 2, again is what i was trying to say. The pressure Dirrell was under caused him to slip - i should have been clearer

3 - You don't have to be an expert.

    He was hit

    He looked up at Abraham

    He paused

    He touched his face

He grimaced like he was in pain

    He then theatrically flopped

He proceeded to roll in and out of the ring

    He began shaking his leg

He came round a minute or so later

Wouldn't let the Dr look into his eyes

He claimed he'd been ko'd whilst he was down which is odd that he had perfect recollection of what happened considering he was convulsing. In fact, that's very odd. Dirrell appeared to be laying it all on a little too thick. He was also quite vocal which is odd behaviour to show after being knocked out cold.

He then proceeded to become very annoyed by somebody claiming he faked injury, which again, given he had 'suspected' brain bleeding is odd.

The broadcast team managed to grab an interview with the Dr who was supposed to be looking after Andre, which was strange

All tests came back negative. No concussion, no nothing. Which again was odd considering he was out cold convulsing...supposedly.

So no, i don't think i have to be neurologist to make my mind up about what happened.

Very well. Let's say (hypothetically) that you are right, and he acted.
What would you recommend he -should- have done?

May I take a guess in that your answer would be "Get up and continue to fight?"

If that is the case, you and I both know that there is only one likely ending for such a scenario, and that is, Abraham finally getting through with a punch and landing a KO.

Such a scenario -could have- played out even without the hit which resulted in the DQ -however- that hit would have pretty much ended any further useful participation in the fight by Dirrell.

See what Im saying? Especially because of that hit, the end result of the fight would have tipped heavily into Abraham's favor. And that is just wrong.

The DQ was a waaay more acceptable option than getting Dirrell to continue the fight only to be 70% and get KOd.

exactly, the way he made his eyes roll back were 2 thumbs up, it's ridiculous how far some people will go to try and make their fighter the victim, Abraham fucked up, badly
