Duran at 135 pounds was one of the most frightful thing pound for pound to ever walk into a ring. Duran wins this one.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
Taylor was a 140 pound fighter, not a 135 one, even though he started his career there.
Mosley and Chavez lose a UD to Duran. Against Whitaker I slightly favor Duran, but it will be close.
Remember folks, Duran at 135 has speed, power, chin, and endless stamina, there's a reason why he's considered to be a top 2 lightweight of all time.
Only person that beats Duran at 135 is Sugar Shane...
"Sixty forty I kicks yo' ass, Sixty forty I tears yo' ass up" - Roy Jones
"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."
- and I quote from some random guy on the internet
duran snarles and swarms to a late tko or ud over 15 rounds over 12 a def ud for duran. at the press conference after the fight duran simply says next time i keel him
think happy thoughts
I think Mosley would've made a very competitive fight against Duran, but would lose by decision. Chavez would lose to Duran by KO in the middle rounds.
Duran at 135 would have bullied his way through Mayweather.
One of the few opponents at one of the few weights where I would say Floyd would almost certainly lose.
Wow you kidding Titofan ? i normally think your posts are spot on. But i couldn't disagree more with this post, Julio Cesar Chavez had one of the best chins of all time.
He walked through a huge puncher like Edwin Rosario, plus it took 90+ fights to finally knockdown him down. I'd be very suprised if Roberto Duran would stop Julio Cesar Chavez at all, let alone in the middle rounds.
Aaron Pryor would not demolish Floyd Mayweather Jr, Aaron Pryor is a bit overrated amongst fans these days. Yes he looked impressive vs Alexis Arguello who was slightly past his best and above his best weightclass, and against a past his prime Antonio Cervantes.
But other than that who else was there on his record ? it seems to me Aaron Pryor is a bit of myth. Because SRL supposedly avoided him, which im not saying is untrue.
But because of that he seems to get overrated, he only ever met one slick fighter in Gary Hilton. Who almost beat him, Aaron Pryor's reckless style wouldn't be effective against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Pernell Whitaker would give Roberto Duran alot of trouble, Pernell Whitaker was very good at dealing with pressure fighters. Julio Cesar Chavez, Greg Haugen, Jose Luis Ramirez, Jorge Paez, Julio Cesar Vasquez, ETC.
Whitaker could give Duran trouble at 135 based on styles. But you are forgetting one thing, A prime Roberto Duran at 135 ain't no Julio Cesar Chavez, Jorge Paez, Jose Luis Ramirez, Julio Cesar Vasquez, etc. Duran was miles ahead of those guys in talent, boxing ability, chin, speed, power, especially at 135.
LOL, Ice. I'm glad we agree most of the time. Edwin "Chapo" Rosario WAS a huge puncher alright. But I think his lack of preparation was a big factor in his loss to Chavez. As for Duran, he wasn't just a huge puncher at 135. He was a DEVASTATING puncher. And he was relentless. He was one scary dude. His attitude was another factor. Duran wanted to take your head off in the ring. He just had this meanness about him... sort of like a lightweight Mike Tyson in his prime. I'm not saying Chavez wouldn't be competitive, but I still think Duran takes him out by KO.
Floyd would get Duran into a state of aggravation so early in the fight he would nbot know if he should spit or go blind...But with that being said...The Duran at LW was not the Duran that said No Mas because he became frustrated with Leonards unwillingness to engage.....The LW version of Duran would have stayed on Floyd to the point Floyd would have no choice but to trade with him and that would end his night
DURAN...all day long!!!!!!
Floyd likes to talk shit and get his opponent out of their gameplan, but Roberto Duran would end up baiting Floyd to stand toe to toe with him and he'd batter Floyd!!!! You saw what Jose Luis Castillo did to Floyd in their first fight.....imagine if Duran had been inflicting that punishment, it would have been stopped by the 8th!!!! If Roberto Duran can beat a Prime Ray Leonard he schools the hell out of Floyd Mayweather Jr.!!!
How would Floyd handle the psychological games from Duran? Sure he joked around and made fun of guys like JMM and Hatton but Duran had MALICE in his psychological warfare and it would surely get to Floyd whom I think has a VERY delicate constitution to begin with....Floyd may very well have cried at the press conferences if he was there with Duran.
PBF would have had a better shot vs Julio Cesar Chavez
