I hope Miranda pull this off.
Froch says that Bute was offered to fight him but declined and that Bute just wants easy title defences.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Bute wanted the fight...Froch wanted the fight...Bute agreed to fight in England....This was IF Bute Andrade 2 fell through...Neither of the big networks (Sho/Hbo) wanted Bute Andrade 2....
Froch and his people then became arrogant putting stiulations on the fight on top of the agreement to fight in England...So talks of setting a date were scrapped.(That was Butes idea by the way)...
Bute/Andrade ended up signing and getting network support....Bute still wanted Froch and after the Taylor fight was hoping it would materialize but the Super 6 ended up spoiling everyones plans

How do you know that?
Don't you think it's far more likely Froch-Bute would have been in Canada?
1. Bute sells 15,000 tickets to Froch's 5,000 in England.
2. Bute hasn't left Montreal for 50 years. Froch has proved he's willing to defend his title in the other guys backyard - Taylor, Kessler.
3. Bute had Showtime and now HBO screening his fights. Froch isn't even on mainstream TV in the UK.

Take a wild guess on how I know?
Hint...One guy promotes Taylor the other part of Bute's team
Froch has had 2 fights outside of the UK....You act as if Froch fighting in the states against Taylor makes him sound like a champion willing to travel.....He has defended the belt twice...Once in the super 6 and they took Taylor because they wanted a fight with a marketable name that they felt Froch would walk over (Though until Taylor gassed Froch was having it handed to him)........I PROMISE you it had to do with Froch and Dick Hennessy looking to make him mainstream not Froch and his "Willing" to travel
Same night I was trying to be convinced that Carl Froch was a 12 rd fighter and he was not at his best until he reached the 9th or 10th round....Yet he had only been 12 2 times prior in his career..
BTW I know that because the words came straight to me from Froch's mouth...
I don't know about mainstream TV in the UK so I can't say if he is or isn't but for all the talk of him over the last few years in a dead SMW division and articles I read abt him even before Pascal I would have guessed different...BUT that then enforces the part of Froch and his people trying to use Taylor as a jump off to make him Mainstream
Bute seems very overrated here. I will tell you that there is no doubt in my mind that Miranda is more underrated though.
Bute may win, but there is no way Miranda will lose. Most people think Pantera has no chance. This will be a war. No chance Bute comes out a winner without the battle of his career.

I would be surprised if it lasts 5 rounds. Miranda has power but that's about it, Goosen surely made him better but he doesn't have the speed or technique to fight back at what comes for him. If Bute did smoke off Andrade in a few rounds, I don't want to imagine what's coming off for him

OK this is just a tale of 2 passing trains here going in different directions but you would honestly be surprised if it went 5 rounds? I don't see how you could be surprised. Bute has only stopped Andrade and Zuniga in that distance. The Andrade kayo came out of nowhere, and it wasn't the result of Bute pressing for a knockout, just a perfect shot. Zuniga was just an average fighter overwhelmed by the atmosphere itself it seemed. Other then that I can't think of anyone he's stopped in 5.
Miranda definitely is an underdog but at least he's a dog with a chance to win the fight, plus he has a few things working to his advantage. It's almost guaranteed that Bute will be fighting from the backfoot where he fights best. The only guys to have beat Miranda in the past have been those that chose to stand up to the bully and try to push the man backwards. Abraham just kind of exploded on him, but Ward and Pavlik systematically broke him down with pressure. Miranda will likely be the one bringing the heat. Bute isn't an inside fighter to say the least. Miranda is going to be able to at least fire off his shots without getting smothered.
Also, perhaps most importantly, if Bute thinks this is a walkover like many here do, then he's playing into Miranda's hands. Miranda is a mean dude in the ring, he is good at playing off a guy's fear and negativity (Allan Green) and maybe gets broken down by confidence. Bute likes to be cute in there sometimes just to show off, he's facing in my opinion the hardest puncher he's ever faced. He better be careful and not take unnecessary chances.
I still think he'll win but it would have to be a perfectly placed shot like against Andrade (who actually was having a better second fight early until the knockdown and knockout) to do it in less then 5 rounds. This is definitely as credible of a fight as any in the division available for Bute right now so I don't know why it would be taken lightly.

IF Zuniga, Andrade (I remind you he did knock him down flush before the precise missile he did receive to the liver) or tough guy like the egyptian magician didn't make the limit, do you really expect Miranda to give any kind of challenge? You're serious Amat here? Miranda won't pass 7 rounds and I can bet what you want that it's gonna be a terrible battering.

Did you read my post
I gave all the reasons why I don't think it is going to end early, and I definitely find Miranda to be a better fighter and more durable then everyone save Andrade and that was a shock, the same guy went 12 and took every punch he had cleanly. I just think it will be a decision win for Bute or a late stoppage if anything, that's all. I believe it took 7 full rounds for Pavlik to break him down and no way Bute is going to fight that type of fight.

Yes I did read it,
The thing is: Bute packs more or less the same kind of power as Pavlik (at least, in the same range). The only difference is that Bute is faster and will land clean more punches than what Pavlik did. Based on that, I doubt Miranda will survive more than 7 rounds. Anyway, the answer in more or less 48 hours![]()
