If the impossible happens...Floyd would be in the drivers seat big time while he tried to land a fight with Manny. I'd give him his due as well...that's for sure. But even if Floyd has the opportunity to go for a stoppage/knockout, history says he won't go for it.

Even more to the point, he was trying to KO JMM and couldn't.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

    Well...a cut...a bs wobble stoppage?

First thing I'd do is check Mosleys blood for food poisoning.I dont think Floyd has the desire to earn that ko personally.

Mosley's punch resistance has totally gone.

No way does Floyd stop Mosley though, Mosley has always been very durable.

I think its overlooked the rights that Marquez was able to get into range on him.Yeh he was owning the fight big time, but that right hand was getting in.

i disagree with the other post and IMO Mayweather could have stopped Marquez any point in the fight after the 2nd round, and as for the right hand, i think he landed it so much more cause it didn't bother Floyd more than anything

Could have and actually doing it are two different things entirely.Especially with the prospects of a Manny fight on the table and Marquezs relation to both....a tko would have been a huge notch up.Floyd was at least two weight classes above him, sure he may have coasted and carrying Marquez but I doubt it.

To me that says even less of him.Hes also to smart to 'except' clean punches, regardless of effect.Marquez was seeing spots in there and Floyd settled,as he does mostly.

oh i agree, i'm just saying that a lot of people bring up the Marquez fight as if it were due to a lack of power, IMO that's not the case, it's just how Mayweather is, and i doubt very much that he is gonna get the stoppage against Mosley, the fight i do see him winning by stoppage is against Pacquiao, and i wouldn't be shocked if Roach himself ends up being the one to throw in the towel

Right. Its that 'content' mentality that has often accompanied him as I see it.I do hope he is looking as far ahead to Manny as some others are with Mosley still to be dealt with .Shane is a still formidable foe and not one to be over looked.Hes as real a threat as Mayweather has faced in his career and Floyd gets credit should he win in my book.Manny and Mayweather will have to wait. Now Manny vs Mosley, stylistically loving that clash!!

Floyd KO'ing Mosley is already bigger than ANYTHING Pacquiao has done at welterweight

I hate this shithead with the passion of 2 lovers at the romantic era but if ever he knocks down a man that has never been knocked down before and against much more powerful punchers... well, I will have to scream to the moon like a wolf: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooo", lose permanently some sanity, curb down all shivering in the darkest corner of my room with some saliva dripping from the left side of my mouth and then, admit the fact to myself with the help of a psychologist and some medication and finally, give him some credit... with the help of a bit more medication.

if floyd KO's shane I say...

    So what.

Floyd is the proven drug free pound for pound best fighter on the planet and he's just Ko'ed the best fighter he could fight in his division. It's just an extra legacy boosting point on his already brilliant CV.

Would I be surprised? of course not.

Well I would give Floyd alot of credit for knocking out Mosley hell even if he knocked him down I would say is the best welterweight in the world. Do I think it will happen..... hell no.

Mosley is not Marquez, he is bigger and he's been a junior middleweight who is now a welterweight. He has pop in his punch and faster than Marquez that even though outclassed and out gunned still got Mayweather with some rights. Mayweather could not knock out a man that was made to order for him and I will say one thing, I wouldn't be surprised to see his butt on the canvas. Mosley was written off after Cotto but look what happened when an experienced corner and an experienced fighter uses intelligence against youth and brute force with good stamina to kayo a man labeled a destructive force in the welterweight division. Floyd should be wondering if that same man that took out Margarito is the one that shows up fight night.
