The FACT is Povetkin doesn't want to fight Wladimir, Teddy Atlas and the rest of Povetkin's managers and handlers know he isn't ready and that a loss to Wladimir may very well damage his career because then he has to work his way back up to the top again and let's face it, Teddy Atlas is a fair weather trainer he doesn't stick around with guys that lose even 1 fight.
I doubt Wlad declined to do the testing because he's on anything, I mean this is the same guy who said "What's one more vaccination?" when he chose to fight Ruslan Chagaev.
I imagine if the WBA title holder wanted random drug testing Wlad would do it in a heartbeat.
Povetkin has been dragging his feet on this fight since like 2008

Wlad must either be shitting himself to face Povetkin or he knows he has no chance whithout medical help!
Fuuck me!! It doesnt take a brain surgeon to see how guilty you look when you refuse tests after Manny the midget did
Wlad has alaot of money and will have good handlers and they will now be running around like headless chickens wondering what the fuuck to do to not look any worse or like a cheater but its too late
Make Wladamir take the tests or threaten him with Sanders again, he certail=nly wanted no part of a rematch and hid bahind his big brother, which makes you wonder what hes on, considering he retired because of injuries after rescheduling the Rahman bout god knows how many times![]()
all this testing request cr@p is for the birds. until the time ALL sanctioning bodies demand some sort of universal approach to testing, it will only serve to inevitably delay or kill potential fights that should happen.
in this case povetkin and atlas know he has no chance against wladimer. none what so ever. not now, and not in five months or five years. he has not displayed the skill set necessary to defeat wlad. Maybe he does have it.....but I doubt it. I think Adamek would beat the snot out of povetkin.

I 100% agree. Why does it seem like some fighters either take offence at the idea of drug tests or make a big deal about it?
There are many lines of work in which the occasional drug test is mandatory. These fighters should stop acting like a request for tests is a slap in the face, and they need to stop letting pride (or whatever) get in the way. They should know that once they take the tests and come out clean, that's an added plus for their reputation.
You people act like they don't already do drug testing....they do always AND Wladimir has never tested positive.
Povetkin (the challenger) whom has kept stalling at fighting Wlad is now trying to dictate the terms of the fight.
After seeing Povetkin fight Chambers I know and am 100% certain that Povetkin has nothing for Wladimir, he doesn't punch terribly hard, his chin doesn't seem all that sturdy, and he's not big either.

So you rather have great matches with the risk of one of them or both cheating?
You rather have the line at the airport move faster with less strict checks with the risk of having someone smuggle drugs, a bomb, etc.?
