Sky would keep about half that and the VATman would get a chunk off the top but that would leave nine or ten million for the promotion. To put that inperspective the "Klitschko brothers" make about one and a half mil from German TV per fight. So Haye is in a position where he's able to make more money than the Klitschkos do by fighting Fraudley. He can always fight one of the "brothers" after the Audley fight, they're both desperate to get their sewn-on hands on a chunk of that Sky PPV cash.

But you can't blame him for thinking about the Audley fight before he fights one of them. It's a short career, Sky obviously want to do it and would give the fight huge promotion, once he loses he won't have the same earning power and he can get 60-70% of the split against Audley with a guaranteed rematch clause should Audley spark him. He wouldn't be human if he wasn't thinking about the possibility. Look at some of the stiffs the "brothers" have been fighting recently, Audley isn't that much worse than some of them.
Audley would have gotten schooled by everyone the Klitschko's have recently fought maybe bar Sosnowski but the guy showed a decent chin vs Vitali...still he's the only one that's close to Audley's level

The main reason haye must fight audley is because other than that his only option would be to fight one of the klitchkos.....and he sure as hell doesn't want that. Next he'll have reasons why he and andrew golota should get it on, maybe kevin mcbride after that.

    Apparently it's on :

Audley Harrison agrees £1m deal for WBA world heavyweight title fight against David Haye | Mail Online

I don't understand the one million or the five million numbers but there you go. I can imagine Audley is on a one million guarantee with a slice of PPV money on top but if they do 1 million PPV buys then the promotion grosses 15 million or six/seven after Sky and the VATman get their cut and that's before they sell 20 000 tickets.

This will get the shit hyped out of it back in the UK

Audley can redeem a whole wasted career in one night, he can also rubber stamp his legacy as a complete joke of a fighter.

Either way it should be interesting

....yeah, what am I thinking, this fight is a lot more important than a title unification fight against a guy Chicken Little has been talking shit about for well over 2 years.

Only two words can be used to describe circumstances in which this fight wouldn't take place, and those words are "bloomin' outrageous" (you could use fucking instead of bloomin' but I don't like to swear)

Kirkland has already explained it fairly well. This fight will make Haye a very rich man. There's little apparent risk as he should beat Audley comfortably. After that he can tackle a Klitschko. It's not a problem. He'll fight them.

#1 Weren't the Barrett, Valuev, and Ruiz fights supposed to earn this joker more money?

#2 You have to have talent to win Olympic gold but it also doesn't hurt to be the oldest fighter in the competition either.

Yeah I was thinking the 50mil was a little off the charts, Fatana. But other than that, I don't really see why people get all bent out of shape. I still think Haye could use another heavyweight fight.

It's like 80% of the people on Saddo think Haye doesn't deserve a heavyweight belt and is not a legitimate heavyweight contender, and 80% also believe he is wasting time fighting all these bums.

Well I got news for you. Other than the KLits there ain't nothing but bums in the heavyweight division. If this guy wants to fight top 25 guys the rest of his career, let him! The longer he waits the better the fight will be. Oh sweet, sweet anticipation!

One last thing. I will not be watching this fight. Because I don't give a flying F*** what Haye does until he actually fights a real champ. Bring on Bernard Hopkins

Audley has more talent than most of the HW chumps put together............. it's just been wasted talent.

You don't win olympic medals from being talentless
