Yet when it's rumoured that Khan will be fighting a weak opponent for pretty much the same reason you flag him up on it
difference is Cotto is already on the slide of his career, and has titles in 3 divisions, including wins over Pinto, Corley, Malignaggi, Bailey, Torres, Quintana, Judah, Mosley, Clottey, and Foreman

what the hell has Khan done to be able to take it so easy? beat up a shot Barrera (and technically shouldn't even be a win), an overrated Kotelnik, knock out a bum, then finally dominate a feather fisted Malignaggi who also is coming to the end of his career

when Cotto was where Khan is at in this point of his career he took on all comers and fought hard hitting fighters even after being dubbed as "chinny" (after the Corley fight)

also add in that Khan has been with Roach for over a year, and has had 4 fights with him in his corner

    that's the big difference
We've been through this. Malignaggi was coming off the two best performances of his life.

Besides Khan is very young and was ko'd badly not so long ago. Every bit just as justified for Khan to take on the same comparative level of opponent as Cotto. Cotto does one every year anyway....Urkal, Gomez, Jennings, Foreman and now this....

I'm not knocking him for it, i just don't see why you knock Khan for it. Well i do, but it's unreasonable imo.

Come on man, Since getting the Margarito fight Cotto had a gimme with Jennings, then fought Clottey, then Pac then moved up to fight Foreman.

Im not some kind of boxing guru but surely Foreman is harder fight than Kotelnik and Salita? Malignaggi was a decent fight, there was a number of people who thought he would win, much as there were people who thought Foreman would beat Cotto.

In the end of the day, yes they are at two different points in their respective careers, but Khan does talk about how he could beat such and such and wants to fight such and such, for whatever reason he hasn't got in the ring with these people yet. I think the fact that he wants to fight the winner of Marquez vs Diaz (marquez) is abit sad.

He's a Olympic medalist who now has a world title, much the same as Berto has, he's going to be called out on not fighting 'worthy opponents'. One fight against malignaggi doesn't deserve an easy fight.

I've never seen the person Cotto is supposed to be fighting to comment on him.

That's just wrong man, comparing Cotto to Khan. Really wrong I must say.

Cotto had a few gimmes, but Cotto has proven himself many times over, and no one can say Cotto ducks so and so.

Khan is no where near Cotto's level of accomplishment. Major difference.

I personally think Andre Berto would beat Miguel Cotto, and i've said that for awhile. Andre Berto as a good uppercut which is Miguel Cotto's weakness. He is faster, more fresher, and his jab is equally as good as Miguel Cotto's jab.

I don't know why Andre Berto gets so much hate, yes he's not technically perfect. But neither was fighters like Meldrick Taylor, who is very much like Andre Berto. But Meldrick Taylor was still special in his own right.

And i think Andre Berto will shock alot of people, i think he beats everyone at Welterweight except obviously the two best P4P fighters.

no hate from here, he just hasn't really done anything to back that claim up, as for fresher i don't really see it, he gets gassed pretty damn easy as seen in several fights, and doesn't really know how to follow a set gameplan, and it's not cause he adapts in there, the only guys who have had success with the uppercut against Cotto have been Pacquiao and Judah, both were southpaws, IMO Berto is good no doubt, but he's not as good as most think and a lot of that has to do with how protected he's been

Miguel is probably seeking a more lucrative fight against who I don't know, because this fight should be good for him and very winnable IMO. Berto's scalp in Cotto's resume will be great, he should've taken it.

I am a fan of cotto and the fight with berto seems dangerous, another couple of confidence building fights then berto.
