On my first day they changed my schedule completely only 3 hours actual teaching but with 3 hours waiting for class. Today I was told "no class". This meant no pay. Of course I called the boss and said this was bullshit. I have 8 years experience and a masters. I cannot tolerate this shit.

I came home and the wife was furious. It was all my fault why I am not working. I said "you only care about money?". "Yes", she replied. You can't really reply to that with a logical mind. So I told her to "fuck off".
So again I am in my living room being rather pissed off.

It's not so much the nagging, but the outright rudeness. So now I am only a money earner and that is it. If you don't do it then there are issues.
That is where you went wrong.

Yeah, not a nice thing for me to say really. But sod it, you must fight fire with fire sometimes.

It just pisses me off. I mean, sure I am and need to be the main breadwinner, but if one of my part time gigs is playing up or messing me around then I need to quit. It's a quality of life thing. With my experience and qualifications I simply refuse to hang around working for schools that simply don't know what they are doing or don't give me the support I need. There are plenty of jobs out there and I will find more work, but as usual she throws up things like "Money this... and money that....You don't want to work and just want to have fun....I'm going to England". Blah, blah bloody blah. Bugger off to England then and give me some peace and quiet ya miserable nag! We have done okay over the years, it's not as if I we are going to be wearing rags and eating soup every night whilst I look for more work.

I think I am going to spend the weekend in the pub with friends. At least they won't nag me and I might even turn my phone off too!

    Too long!

Married for 5, together for 7. Tbh the relationship stress has only come about in the last month, but except for a few days between the drawn out 'not getting on' we have been having prolonged spells of 'not getting on'.

I mentioned before that I refused to move to England and give up all my part time positions just so she could buff the resume with a bit of overseas experience. And here I am quitting a part time position, leaving a couple of afternoons a week free. Obviously that hasn't impressed her and my function as key money maker has been diminished somewhat. In her head it's probably "his excuse for not supporting me is gone and he still won't budge, therefore I am going to give him hell again". Let's ignore the fact that the school was chaotic and messing me around, but of course, I was supposed to suck it up and just get on with it. So, yeah, back in the doghouse indefinitely until I top my wages back up to her highnesses satisfaction.

I don't think it helped that when she got home from work yesterday I was playing Red Dead Redemption. Maybe I should have pretended to be job searching on the internet or something. And the really annoying thing is that it was her that first suggested the idea of quitting the job! I actually took her initial advice and I am still in the wrong. You are damned if you do and damned if you don't!

That's true. It's all such a load of bullshit though. Even without this particular job, I am still earning decent money. Plus we have her income too. I just don't see the need for all the histrionics. How many pairs of shoes can one woman want?

I've been getting angry in return recently and snapping more. It's almost like she will put me down just to get a rise out of me and I guess that means she's won. Yeah, I'm going to chill and not bother with it. Might even finish my classes later and just go out for a beer. Why the devil not, I say!

Red Dead Redemption is awesome, much better than GTA 4.

I was thinking of starting a thread about that actually. Which is better RDR or GTA4? Both games are great, but I too prefer RDR. I like the Western theme and all the negativity and drug taking etc in GTA4 kind of wore thin on me a bit. I like the fact that Marston on the whole seems to be a pretty decent chap and doesn't feel the need to go to strip clubs.

Great game and lovely graphics too.

Anyway, madam is still not talking to me today. Whatever.

Not talking is better than fighting.

So you are saying all of this kicked off because you won't move to England?

Is that what she told you or it's what you think has caused it?
