OK let me get this straight...Ricky participated in a sport where you get smacked in the head (since he was a child) and nobody worried until Pacquiao cleaned his clock. Ricky yo-yo'd his weight up and down, fattening up between fights and nobody worried, everyone laughed about it. Ricky drank down at the pub and nobody worried everyone thought he was just one of the lads having a few pints etc....but now doing blow has everyone in a tizzy. That stuff can't be any worse than anything else he's done to himself.

I don't agree with doing it, but Ricky is a grown ass man, he can make his own decisions. If he's forced into rehab without his heart being in it I can bet you he'll come out and get in worse trouble, he'll hit it harder.

I suppose that's a good point. He's been in touch with Max Clifford who's no doubt told him to go public with the rehab stuff. If he's doing to win brownie points with the media, and to rebuild relations with some of his fanbase, it's a bad idea.. If he's doing to for genuine reasons then it's a great idea. I Find it all a little coincidental though, considering i've heard from more than a few people (Skel is one of them) that he's been at it for a few years, Frank Warren even alluded to it in his column today.

If you got all the boxer, promoters, fans, or anyone having ANYTHING to do with boxing in one room I bet you couldn't swing a dead cat without hitting someone who has used/occasionally uses/or is addicted to cocaine or meth.

Look at all the famous boxers who have done it: Alexis Arguello, Johnny Tapia, Michael Dokes, Oliver McCall, Mike Tyson, Ray Leonard, Ray Robinson, Kirkland Laing, John Tate, Frank Bruno....hell you could take up an entire forum mentioning them all
