hth - Froch and Dirrell was close anyway you look at it - Froch barely pulled it out. Dirrell beat Abraham because of his work rate. Froch and Dirrell have completely different styles. Moreover, Abraham looked a lot better than Froch against Taylor whereas Froch beat Taylor in the last few rounds, Abraham was winning the majority of the fight before he knocked Taylor out. However, Taylor and Froch have very different styles. I thought Froch's workrate wasn't high enough in the Kessler fight, and from what I've seen to beat Abraham, a high work rate is essential. Plus, Froch has a horrible habit of keeping his hands low, against a fighter like Abraham who has a devestating punch, that could spell trouble. Froch has grown on me a little bit. I'm not counting him out in this one, but I think Abraham should be favored.

either way, my point was mainly that styles make fights. Dirrell showed how to beat Abraham - workrate and defense. keep hooking and punching his gloves and make him miss. froch keeps his hands low and his work rate was a little suspect in the Kessler fight. i thought the Kessler fight was a winnable fight for Froch, like it wasn't about Kessler winning, as much as it was about Froch losing.
that was a great example of his work rate. but, where was it in the Kessler fight? and that was his most recent fight against in my opinion, on that night, an easier opponent. doesn't his hands being held so low, worry you a little against a big puncher, like Abraham?
one dangerous horrible bloke
When Froch trades with Abraham it'll be goodnight vienna.
Dirrell beat Abraham with his footwork. Abraham himself admitted he was too slow in the fight - he's been working on moving his feet faster for the Froch fight (not that he needs to be quick against Froch).
