Martinez last fought at Middleweight and i think Williams knew that Sergio was heavy.
Why nobody is shooting Williams for asking 157?

Well Martinez has only had 1 real fight at Middleweight and if I remember, they bot came in just a few pounds north of the contract on fight night. These two guys are not intimidated by each other in size. It's 100% a scrap. These two guys like to unfoil game plans, and I think it's hard to imagine this fight even reaching a lull.
I think both of the guys were ok with 157, if they think this is leveling the playing field good for them, but I just don't see how you can blame either of them for a catchweight. This is neither of their natural weights. Maybe Maravilla is blowing up a little more between fights? If anything it is to Williams advantage.
FURTHERMORE these guys are both gentlemen in and out of the ring. Don't ever compare these two to the scumbags in boxing that spend far more time complaining about circumstance than actually taking a stance.
Maravilla will have no trouble weighing in he's not even 6'0" tall
"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."
- and I quote from some random guy on the internet
20 pounds is a lot but far from impossible. Yes sergio didn't look like a bloater to me neither but hopefully this is his normal routine. I do think having a catchweight of 157 is bullshit, I mean williams fight against winky was at 168 if I remember right, so what the hell?

I have to say this is concerning to me. 4 weeks, 5 pounds a week that's doable, but in a malnourished way, it's not like he has a lot of fat to lose. What do I know though, I'm not in his camp.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
