Are you serious Taeth? The guy is facing his first test 7 fights in. It's great that you think he can compete with the top guys 7 fights in, great! However, what makes you think this would actually happen? Kind of ridiculous and it would take a lot more then just cleaning out 122 right now to make that happen.

why not? i mean, nonito donaire is currently the no. 4 p4p rated fighter in the world and he only has one great win on his resume. knowing this, anything is possible!!!!

    killer,

yeah but who has he beaten since? you compare donaire's resume with the other top 10 p4p'ers and it's a joke he's even at no. 4. and this coming from a boxing fan who thinks donaire is very, very talented. i mean, comparing donaire's record to montiel's is apples and oranges and you don't see montiel on any top 10 lists. these p4p lists are just very subjective and biased to whomever these writers like.

they should make a list made up of sportswriters from around the world instead of writers from the Ring magazine. many people say the abc organizations are jokes, well have you taken a look at The Ring's ratings lately? total joke if you ask me!

I don't disagree with you at all, but compare that to Rigondeaux's record.............................

    killer,

i was just being sarcastic about rigondeaux because of donaire being up so far up the list. i wouldn't have a problem with donaire being at say, no. 9 or 10 but come on, no. 4? that Ring p4p list is a complete travesty and tries to insult the intelligence of hardcore boxing fans.

No he didn't. Darchinyan only got into the p4p after losing to Donaire. He got p4p status for beating Mijares and Arce and winning world titles in two weight divisions post Donaire.

Donaire has never beaten a p4p fighter, and has only beaten one fighter who has ever held a world title.

He's the biggest fraud in boxing.

I am not saying anyone will put him on their p4p list right away, but this is a good start, ande he does have the skill/talent. Even if it takes him a three fights to clear out the 122 pound division it will only take one big win after that IMO, and an impressive win to put him in the top 10 p4p, I mean Mayweather did it when he had only two really big wins behind him. I think people take more than quality of opponent into consideration, but also they level of skill. And RIgondeaux is competitive with anyone when it comes to skill.
