The one with the Lad running is interesting, dont suppose its noticable. One of the rollers is coated and is 1/4 inch larger and different texture. His sense of Feel is working overtime.

    Interesting Scrap

I remember being inspired by you to try something similar to this with two medicine balls. I had to use 2 slightly different sizes because that was all i had available - i didn't think of that difference training something extra itself.

I does make sense though - we constantly run on varying terrain and our ability to automatically adjust is crucial to not on preventing an all out fall on our arses spectacle of ourselves but also just to prevent putting too much stress on joints etc.

The applicability to something like trail running is obvious. I'm thinking it's also applicable to boxing in a more indirect way.

As much as we like to think we can be perfectly balanced in boxing all the time because we are moving on nice level canvas bringing in an opponent will give you reason to perhaps not always manage that and you'll want to readjust automatically.

I know you've said before that the stretch in the calves and hamstrings is awesome too. It sucks that most shoe manufacturers insist on putting a raised heel in their shoes making that so important.

I've been wearing negative heel Earth shoes and the Vibrams to try to lessen the need for this but a lifetime of wearing other shoes with inbuilt heels to this point probably means i need to continue stretching regardless. Especially as a female with a dicky back - can someone please go back in time and assassinate the dude who invented high heels please!

    Looks Good Scrap

An ex-flatmate who was a sponsored runner showed us how a trainer had him doing squats on a fitball once. I found it was way too high for me to start off on alone (need someone to catch!) -

This looks far less life threatening with the added bonus of training each foot/side individually. I might just give it a go at the gym tomorrow morning .
