He can not beat either Klitschko, he can not beat Haye or even Adamek/ARREOLA ETC ....James last fights have been snoozers and annoying with the lack of respect he gives the sport by coming in the way he does and I don't mean appearence wise.....He was just embaressed by his MMA stint (WTF was he thinking Randy Couture?....Not the best opp for your first MMA fight is it)....Toney is just another fighter who can not leave the spotlight behind and does not have the personality to be a broadcaster etc

Indeed, the JFAT alliance must stay strong. You can't abandon the guy because he has man boobs and talks a lot more than he fights. I want to see how he looks before reaching any firm conclusions, but he is going to be a 42 year old version of James Toney and he was never a big heavyweight (you know what I mean) to begin with.

The Toney that beat Peter first time out beats Haye IMO, but that's a few years ago and Toney has been away from the ring a long time. I just want to see how he looks, I don't want to build up any expectations. I wouldn't mind seeing him against someone like Tarver too in a quick follow up.

IMO Toney has never been a good HW. He beat Evander when Evander was way past it and carrying an injury to his shoulder and he won a decision over Ruiz, but he needed Steroids to get that win. He was a great fighter between the weights of 160 and 175 but even in his prime I remember Montell Griffin beating him twice, Roy Jones gave him a one sided beating and the best fight that could have been made for both men IMO in him and Hopkins has never happened. If they were to fight I think Hopkins definitely wins now. Toney just needs to get the fuck out of boxing once and for all.

The problem is I have a funny feeling David Haye may take a fight with Toney and that would be disastrous both for boxing and for Toney, If big fat slow Sam Peter can land regular on Toney, Haye will totally massacre him. I hope this fight doesn't happen but with Hayes options seemingly quite low, he showed by taking the fight with Audley that he is not afraid of taking an easy fight and that is what this would be, although I would love to see Toney sparked and I am 100% positive that is what Haye would do to him.

I say that because Haye's biggest win is Monte Barrett. Toney can spark Haye out if he is fit.

not now. I think haye would give him a one sided beating. In fact I can see that fight being on the cards now that the klits ain't gonna happen.

Let's see how Toney looks first, he has three weeks to get in shape and show us all what he has got. He's fighting a bum, but if he will just follow up and fight after then we can see. Going on recent history Toney will fight and then vanish for a year...
