I just think the Sam Peter that Helenius is going to fight has a lot more left than the Lamon Brewster he fought. If Sam Peter trains hard he WILL win, if he doesn't he could still land a lucky punch....Helenius is not very mobile if his jab doesn't stop Sam Peter he'll be in for a long night.

I just hope the loss to Wlad hasn't hurt the momentum Sam was building up the win over Nagy Aguilera was one of his more inspired performances.

If Helenius does win and he does so easily he should immediately look at top level challengers.

Tell ya the truth I never seen this Helenius character and don't care to.

I'd rather see Peter smash Solis.

Solis is a fat overhyped pig.

I think Vitali will beat him to the punch on Solis, but that wouldn't be a bad rebound match for Solis.

I would still like to see Sam Peter-Cris Arreola to see the 'Crisco Kid' get walloped again.

Vitali should pound him. But I cannot stand Vitali either so its not going to be satisfying.

I actually like Chris Arreola better than Peter. Arreola is a warrior. Showed that against Vitali.

...it would still be a good fight especially if ESPN were able to pick it up

Couldn't be any worse than some of the fights they put on Friday Night Fights.

I miss the days when we had Wendesday night fights AND Friday night fights. And they were good cards !

Augustus, Bailey, Pemberton, Sheika, Ward. All action fighters.

Well they just had the final presser for this fight...I'm kind of excited for this fight even though I won't be able to see it until it's put on youtube. I think if Peter comes in under 245 he's got a great chance of winning...Helenius looks a little soft at times and there's no reason for that now, this is a very dangerous fight no matter how Sam Peter looked against Wladimir...that's due to how good Wlad is not how bad Sam Peter is

Well with the weights coming in I will officially retract everything positive I said about Sam Peter

    Sam Peter 260 - Robert Helenius 239

...I forsee a late stoppage winner by TKO Helenius

I like Helenius by TKO. I like him even more after the weigh-in. The last time Peter weighed in the 260s was against Chambers and he was dreadful in that fight. I think the fight has been beaten out of Peter. He has a lot more quit in him now than he did when he first fought Wladimir.

Its a shame but its what happens to heavyweights that just can't get over the top level competition. I just hate it for the division and well for Sam because when he is well trained and in good shape I like his chances vs anyone not named Klitschko. I thought this was a winnable fight for Sam, but seeing the extra weight I can only hope he weighed in with $10 worth of pennies in his pants and all his clothes on.

Wouldn't quarters be easier ? That'd be a lot of pennies

Yeah there are some unsung heroes in the heavyweight division, guys like Monte Barret, Shannon Briggs, lately Michael Grant. Guys that never quite could cut it at the top.

Helenius knocked him out in the ninth, now here come Lyle to say that it was Vitali and Wlad that softened him up. Peter is just not that good, gotta face facts.
