How i score fights

Get yourself a couple of clicker counters and hole one in each hand, then nominate a fighter to each hand and every time a legal scoring blow lands, click for the fighter that threw it.

This is amatuer boxing scoring, try it but only count punches that land on the legal scoring area and by the knuckle of the glove. Also, only score punches that are thrown with effort and not just arm punches like weak range finding jabs and youd be surprised at how low the landed punches are.

I like kellermans rule of who would you rather have been. As long as fights are judged by each round and not on the fight as a whole i have no complaints. It drives me crazy when a guy wins six rounds of a ten round fight and people want to give a guy the whole fight for making a comeback or winning the last four. Same with rounds where a guy gets the nod for having one or two big punches reguardless of the twenty or so he was hit with. Punches don't have to be hard they just have to land. It's boxing not ko'ing. Perfect example the famous second round of the floyd shane fight. Shane hit's floyd twice and was automatically given the round since we all hate floyd and it's so rare to see him hit at all. Shane was beat for two and a half of the minutes of that round yet......

Not on amatuer boxing at least. In the rule book it states a scoring punch is one that lands with force.

Little pitty pat jabs wont score even if they land clean. A flurry of light combination punches also wouldnt score. They have to land with force.

I agree with most of what you say, but I have to disagree with the bolded part. Shane won the 2nd round because he badly hurt Floyd two times. IMO, that pretty much negates everything PBF had been doing up 'til that point. If he had also hurt Shane in the same round you might be able to make a case for him winning it.
