the problem i have with him is his inability to realize he has no clue what he is talking about


look at kurt menefee when he call cards for (i think) showtime, he realizes that sometimes he doesnt have anything to add so he doesnt force some comment, i can deal with that, bob poppa is the same (tho he knows more about boxing), he isnt going to try to talk when he has nothing to add


johnson will say something stupid and then just keep making it worse


the guy was making strikeforce broadcasts hard to watch, he has close to no idea what he is talking about but he is convinced he knows BJJ so he has the balls to argue with the other announcers when he is completely clueless



he also comes off as if he is just trying to be a part of whatever is happening, like when fedor got tapped by werdum last year (which basically killed any chance strikeforce had of being competitive with the UFC) he gets all giddy as screams "FEDOR LOSES!!!!!" as ifg werdum is inconsequential, not 'great triangle' or something positive about werdum, i just dislike everything about johnson



hes leaving CBS all together, so hes not gonna be calling NCAA games anymore either

it is a great day. NO more southpaws throwing left hooks or orthodox fighters throwing right hooks. No more Gus screaming, "he's hurt! he's hurt!!" when a guy really isn't hurt.

I hate Gus Johnson and his job for CBS college basketball. He starts yelling and screaming and he just needs to shut the fuck up. We don't need the announcer to scream to the top of his lungs.
