The Hatton/Pacquiao one was pretty bad for me. I had got so pumped up for it and was watching fresh off a hangover. That first round had my hands doing the shakes and then when Hatton was stopped in the second I admit that I did get a little cut up. I had to go to the corner of the room and the tears were there. I wiped them away and within minutes was on here telling my critics that yes I had got it wrong. I never really got over that KO.
And I must admit that I don't release tears easily. It's a once a year thing for a matter of seconds. I can be quite cold and heartless, but sometimes things do bubble up and that was one of the occasions.
Yeah Hatton's two loses were pretty taxing. They were the only fights I properly grieved over... I mean I literally did the whole cycle!
Fuck having to go through that TWCIE![]()

That's a good diagram, it sums a lot of it up nicely. Definitely at first I was looking at the TV just thinking "that didn't just happen" and then "no he's not getting up". Then the wandering around the room as if in a morphine daze and then finally the tears as it has hit home. Boxing is a cruel mistress.
Not sure if this would count, but mine would be seeing Gerald mclellan after the Benn fight.
There is an interview with him on YouTube and it's tragic and heartbreaking.
.......yeah but we still have to give them the right to have feelings. Just because we are heterosexual doesnt mean we (Andre, for example) can tyrannize and be cruel.![]()
I was gutted when Hatton lost to Mayweather and i am still gutted at Mosley's performance against pacquiao, I never thought I would see the day when Mosley would get on his bike and not stand and trade.
I must admit I had a bit of a lump in my throat when they interviewed Katsidis after he lost to Marquez when he was talking about his brother who has just died and how much he missed him![]()
Nothings Sweeter Than Sugar
The same thing happened to my friend too. He had a little bit of tears in his eyes when Hatton was stopped in 2. It's not because he cared for Hatton or was a fan of his, but because he had betted that Hatton would get ko in the late rounds and had lost some money with such an early end to the fight
