I like Macklin in that second round too. Macklin 20-18. Sturm's body is turning red from Macklin's work to the body. When will that jab of Sturm come out?

I like Macklin in the third round too. 30-27. Sturm coming alive though. So far, and there's a lot to go, but there is nothing in Sturm that makes me think he can beat Sergio Martinez.

Problems for me with the Epix stream in that last round. From what I've seen though, 4-0 Macklin.

I haven't seen the fight but judging from readin yours and marsx scoring sounds like there were bunch of swing rounds. One of you all said round five was sturms best round yet the other gave it to macklin...

Not a bad fight, it would be fun to see Macklin pull off the upset. i've got Macklin up 3-1 in rounds after 4.

Macklin starts off aggressive going to the body with Sturm clamming up in a tight shell. Macklin continues trying to break the guard open, Sturm waits patiently, a few body shots get through. Macklin still working hard with a minute to go, Sturm takes a step back fires a jab and right hand. Macklon goes back to work, small steps forward mixing up his punches body, head, jab, uppercut. Almost everything was blocked, but clearly his round on work alone

Runde 2

Sturm takes the center of the ring and quick to shell, Macklin chooses the jab to try to split the guard. Sturm starts working his jab. Macklin working heavy to the body and Sturm just goes back to the shell. Sturm misses with a few jabs. Macklin slows down jab, hook to the body. A left hook counter from Sturm narrowly misses. Sturm unloads a 4 punch all left hand combo, Macklin backs off. Macklin starts pressing again, Sturm walks him right into a short right hand. Macklin still comes forward working the body. Sturm's precision should have an effect later, but he's just not doing enough yet

Runde 3

Macklin tries winging up top right away Sturm moves away easily. More work from Macklin back to the body now. Macklin popping the jab until Sturm tightens the guard the goes to the body rinse and repeat it's working. Macklin sneaks in an uppercut, Sturm lands a counter right hook to little effect and Macklin continues. Sturm pumps a series of jabs and shows how it's his best punch, back to the guard and Macklin jumps right back in. Big right from Sturm. Macklin measuring with a jab, another right from Sturm. Macklin goes head hunting. Sturm punctuates with a strong right at the bell. Close round gonna give it to Sturm with the home advantage.

Runde 4

Macklin sweeps a left hook and misses wide. Sturm getting on his feet now using his jab to keep distance. Macklin works his way in again, Sturm with a hook to the body then head have good effect. Sturm works forward, big right hook from Macklin, Sturm goes to the jab, solid right from Sturm. Guard to guard. Sturm works a combo off the jab, and Macklin tries to repay the favor. Macklin just touching around guard, another nice right from Macklin. This round is up for grabs with 30 seconds left. big right uppercut from Sturm, Sturm starting to pinpoint Macklin's head. gave that to Sturm have it even now

Runde 5

Macklin touching the guard with a jab. left hook from sturm straightens out Macklin. back to measuring for Macklin, Sturm gets his jab going again. Strong left from Sturm, Macklin replies by winging a few hooks. Sturm backs him off with the jab a possible clash of heads. Sturm starts and then lets off the gas. 3 right hands from Sturm, Macklin continues to press. Macklin has lost some steam now, but hasn't lost any will. Macklin closes strong, tough round to score, gonna side with Macklin here.

Macklin pops a measuring jab, Sturm presses back with a stronger jab. Macklin still trying to sneak it in between the guard. Sturm's mouth starting to open now. left to the head for Sturm, Macklin on the assault now and Sturm backing off finally. Sturm trying to wing a right hook, Macklin proceeds forward. Macklin adds more pressure, counter right from Macklin lands well. Macklin still working hard. Sturm lands a left to the body overhand right from Sturm, Macklin is feeling this now and his eyes are starting to swell. Back to evens for me
