What else is Taylor going to do guys ? He's still a young man and still a talented boxer.

He is def at less of a health risk than Roy Jones is at these days.

I say let Taylor fight some tune ups and lets see how he looks. Then put him in there with Daniel Jacobs or someone of that caliber.

    Then a match with Martinez.

As some smart guy once said "Fighters fight." It really can be at the core of their identity, can't it? I will say being at less health risk than Roy Jones is like winning a tallest midget contest. Of questionable import wouldn't you say?

I think Taylor's problem is he is another guy who got by on his athleticism rather than his craft. His reflexes and speed aren't going to have improved at 32-33 years old.

My guess is he's cannon fodder.

    haha poor Roy...

I think Taylor still has a shot against less than stellar punchers.

The kid is a good boxer.

Taylor has speed, power and skills. However, his stamina is more than questionable and we have seen that the last 2-3 rounds are absolutely lethal for him as he gets drain to the point where his body can't sustain nothing no more. No good for 12 rounders, head took enough shocks like that. His only chance to spark again would be to fight 8 or 10 rounders but definitely not 12 and even then, he'd be better doing something else of his life and way less damageable for his future.

he can beat some journeymen and quite possibly some light hitting ranked guys, but I will be fearful for him when he faces a ranked fighter that can punch.

    Taylor KO'd by Pavlik
Taylor looked decent in the rematch against Pavlik but tentative
Taylor looked decent against Froch; then he got KO'd
Taylor looked horrible against Abraham; then he got KO'd

During the Abraham fight he just didn't look very good to me. The 2 big KOs had done something to him. I don't think taking that big KO from Abraham and then sitting out is going to have improved things.

The thing is, Taylor has made a ton of money boxing, he should be set for life, why risk your health when you don't have to. The dude had a great career, how many guys can say they had 2 wins over Hopkins?
