I think I've done my fair share of picking on him now lol. He was still a great. But I have to in all serious agree there as well.

Joe frazier would be a Joe Blow if he was fighting in the current HW division.
I agree. In the 90's I think his disciple Bert Cooper would have been able to waste his master. I can't see Frazier getting the drop on Holyfield like Cooper did!
Cooper dropped Holyfield with a right hand.

1/ Wladimir Klitschko was diagnosed with very acute hyperglycaemia after that fight and was close to a coma. Kind of dampens the victory which is evident in the fact nothing was really made of Brewster after the fight.

2/ The rematched showed what really happens to Brewster.

3/ Brewster is both longer and massively heftier than Frazier, a hulking powerhouse by comparison therefore a poor conclusion.

4/ Despite the above, Wladimir punched the living shit out of Brewster the entire fight before he succumbed to his illness. The only reason he survived to capitalize on it at all was because Lamon had a terrific chin! Something Frazier definitely didn't.

5/ Frazier did not possess one of the best left hooks "in history" he possessed one of the best left hooks for his time! Morrison had a better left hook for certain. As did Tyson. Wladimir himself has a better left hook!

    6/ You must be blind!
Brewster went on a good run after he beat Wlad and his fight with Krasniqi probably finished him off not Wlad in the rematch.

Finito said 2003 Wlad! So get over yourself and admit he was a fragile and vulnerable heavyweight that Joe would have destroyed.

LOL Yeah sure! By 2003, Wladimir had already had more 200+ HW fights than Frazier did in his whole career and fought far more aggressively than he ever did today.

He seemed to come back pretty strong to me in 03 with a couple of early KO's and then was looking good against Brewster until the end. His most perceived vulnerable point imo would have been after Brewster vs Williason. It would have taken a very audacious analyst to claim at that point that he would pick up the pieces and transform himself into the unassailable mountain he is today.

But Williamson didn't even frustrate him with a monotonous plodding style. He did it by flipping around the ring like a turkey and STILL lost a technical decision.

The problem with you Master is that for what you view as quality fighters like Frazier, their punch baggery is a thing to behold as a sign of toughness, no matter how much they get hurt or even those that lose!

But for Wladimir, even if he gets hit cleanly and hurt just once or twice during a fight that he wins, he is still somehow lesser than those that struggle.

No I don't believe Wladimir was ever that fragile and I don't believe Frazier could ever have properly even fought Wladimir let alone hurt him.

He is in reality about 2 weight ranges below him for a start before you even look at the enormous gulf in skill. And yeah that's pre-Manny Wlad as well!

    Klitschko vs Shufford...

Jim Lampley- This is no East European stiff people.

Larry Merchant- He is not only strong but you can see how quick, he has an athletic quickness never before seen in the HW division for such a big man.

Emanuel Steward- That right hand is a thing of beauty, it's probably the best right hand not just today, but probably in all of HW history.

That was at the turn of the century!!

Wladimir Klitschko is The Man and has been the undisputed Heavyweight Champ for several years. Even if his style doesn't electrify the masses. Man deserves respect.

In the 1st half of his career (1996-2005), Wladimir suffered 12 knockdowns.
Somehow he wasn't psychologically destroyed by that, he didn't pack it in. Instead he rebuilt and developed his skills and continued to go into the ring.

In the 2nd half of his career (2006-2014), I don't think he's been knocked down.

I think the Sam Peter fight back in 2005, over 8½ years ago, is Wladimir's last knockdown. Has he been knocked down in the last 8½ years? I don't think so.

Anyway, I think Wladimir beats Smokin' Joe, closes his eyes up with jabs.
Joe definitely has a chance with that Philadelphia left hook, but I think his style is not the style to beat Wladimir.
    Oh MY GOD

U just can't compare 15 defence's in this shite era to the era Fraizer was fighting in.....how RIDICULAS!!!!

Master's analysis on boxing is far far beyond a level you could even comprehend Max. Fair play you have an opinion but stop this trolling.

You said Wlad had an iron chin earlier too, hasn't he been knocked down more than any heavyweight champion in history? 12 times to be exact.

Yeah I'll quote it with this.

Frazier was like a "punching bag Piniata at the hands of Foreman.

Wladimir gets knocked down by a couple of power punchers..

Frazier got knocked down by 210lb Ringo!

That would be like Wladimir getting dropped by Chambers or Byrd!

Your right about that, I don't comprehend it sometimes

I said Wlad could be considered to have an iron chin when compared to Frazier's power! There's a difference.

Wlad comes from the hardest hitting era.

Frazier comes from an era several punch classes below.

I suppose Rocky Marciano has an iron chin that would allow him to survive the modern era too by that logic??

Max Power can you tell me somethings about your life that explain how you come up with such shit. You said Mormeck was better than Joe Frazier earlier. The only thing I can say to that is, your a very good troll. Now tell me, do you have friends? Are you actually retarted? How old are you? Have you ever been laid? I want to know the twisted profile of the man who comes up with this crap.

    1) I wonder what Ali thinks of that?

    2) Ninety-Nine percent of the failures come from people who have a habit of making excuses.

    3) I see perfectly well

I'll just answer to number 1..

I'm not sure what Ali might SAY about that as if he claims less of Frazier he destroys half of his legacy.

But fortunately their fight tells us more than biased words ever could.

Frazier landed that left hook over and over and over again on an Ali that seemed to be blind to the punches. And STILL could not manage to knock him out even after 15 rounds.

I have a word for that.

    It's called "featherfist"!

Master's analysis on boxing is far far beyond a level you could even comprehend Max. Fair play you have an opinion but stop this trolling.

You said Wlad had an iron chin earlier too, hasn't he been knocked down more than any heavyweight champion in history? 12 times to be exact.

I can tell you how I come up with it.

By first taking off my rose coloured glasses before I watch those old fights so I can see them for how they really were, not how the mythology has ascribed it.

You can SEE that Frazier did not possess the best left hook. Or even close to it!

Default Re: 03 Wladimir Klitchksco VS Joe Frazier

Frazier landed that left hook over and over and over again on an Ali that seemed to be blind to the punches. And STILL could not manage to knock him out even after 15 rounds.

I have a word for that.

    It's called "featherfist"!
Heavyweight Top 10 best chins of All-Time, Ali's on that list, son...
