and ıt certaınly DID help Ali when he was on the ropes, as he could lean so far back ıt was unbelıevable. Foreman leanıng ın tryıng to reach Alı, he was already on the balls of hıs feet tryıng to reach the gangly Alı, and couldnt get planted well, then what wıth Alı pullıng Foreman's neck down and ın, pulllıng hım ınto hım. Foreman was nullıfıed.

I think the ring was too small and the canvas was too soft which all favoured George so the loose ropes evened the fight out.

Yep - I also thought the trenches were a bit close together in World War 1 and gave us an unfair advantage

    True Fact

Roy 'Tiger' Williams was beating the S*** out of Muhammad during sparring sessions.

When Muhammad walked into the Ring at 4:00 AM, he had nothing.

So, he rested on the Ropes.

At 4am I sure he was resting in bed.

    Maybe.

I think what really helps ALi is that he was basically a Warlock = Male Witch, he used consciously or subsonciously real tricks of evil to lurk Foreman into defeat/ Foreman was not a Christian at that time, he had no protection. This is the SPIRITUAL truth behind the Ali's victory, ropes ae just details.

@NVSemin, it's hard to argue with your logic but Ali was a Muslim, just wondering how that fits into the scheme of things

He is well known for verbally abusing his opponents. When I was younger, I did not think seriously about it. Now I realize this is the legit weapon of spiritual warefare, you are basically cursing your enemies. It does work 100 %. He did some voodoo stuff as well, jokingly, but it has damn serious consuquences

    Muhammad Ali

This was supposedly the same genius that was pathetic against Rudi Lubbers
{just before fighting George Foreman}, and even more pathetic against
Chuck Wepner {just after fighting George Foreman}.

Muhammad was no genius, he was a lucky guy who fought George Foreman at 4:00 AM
in the morning when he was sleepy.

Somebody should have told poor sleepy George to have an early night and a coffee!

Ali cheated, he had black coffee (or was it BLACK MAGIC nvsemin?! ) and some hash browns at 2am...

Fuck me... They're all out today...

Having a rest on the Ropes is not the same as being sleepy. Imagine what would have happened had Ali NOT been sleepy
