if it had some cool stuff on the undercard I might depending on how much beer I have drunk :S, it would have to look better than the canelo cotto undercard though(it had rigondeaux and vargas v miura), so really I would buy the undercard and the main event would be a weird and funny sideshow... but badou jack and gervonta davis isnt enough for me to buy it and considering cotto v kamegi will be on normal hbo then the chances of me buying it are very low

Definitely not paying for it. Seems like deluded MMA fans will be where the money is made and gullible casuals believing Floyd when he says it's going to be a 'toe to toe' battle.

the UK price hasn't been confirmed yet. There have been rumours of it being £60 - £80.
no chance of that being charged over here - will only sell to the hardcore and reduce buys massively

It will be 5 in the morning after all

    £20 max

Floyd never goes into a toe to toe battle and very rarely knocks out anyone.

We'll get it at my Dad's. No way to stream it with the slow internet there as it's a rural area and it'll be THE event to get. I teach high school so my 11th grade shits will be all about it im sure. I'll have to watch to then politely tell them, "I told you so." (School starts back up in 2 weeks...)

Well sky have won the contract to show it.
Eddie has already said that Floyd wants them to charge £100 PPV in the UK but Eddie has said there is no way it'll be that much and whilst Sky want to charge £30 he can't see it being any more than £20.

Does Eddie really have a say? Does he really care?

No he doesn't have a say, he said something like 'sky will want it to be £30 but it won't be that much that isn't their price point, it will stay at £20' he did say that he doesn't actually have say in it.

    found the quote, I wasn't

“Mayweather wants the price to be £100.”

But Hearn doesn’t believe the price will be above the normal price for a PPV.

“The price will be within the same realms as it always has. I don’t set the price, but my gut feeling is £19.95.

“If it went to £24.95… I can’t see it, it wouldn’t be my decision. Sky won’t want to go beyond £19.95. That is their price point.”
I thought he said Sky wanted £30

I'd rather pay £50 for Golovkin-Canelo than £5 for this.

I'll certainly be streaming it though or listening to the radio.

No PPV has a single thing to do with "hardcore" fans that's the whole point. Given the choice how many people on here (the "hardcore") would buy the awesome SuperFly card coming up in September over this pantomime shit? A handful at most.

Lets be honest, there's "hardcore" and then there's "hardcore." Just look at the threads/interest in this fight compared to everything else. We can't stop talking about it, more here will watch it than any other fight, and more would buy it over most "hardcore" cards

people are talking about this fight more than others because its easy to talk about

its easy to have an opinion

and the opinion doesn't have to have any technicality about it, doesn't require any effort

if you get a 50/50 fight between two top boxers how much is there to say and what can you say that doesn't require some technical knowledge

this is one of the most skilled boxers of a generation fighting a complete novice (who a number of us may even be able to take a round or two from) for millions and millions of pounds, its easy to laugh

doesn't mean that the people talking about it aren't "hardcore"

and, if interested, I wont be buying it, even if it was on at a reasonable time I wouldn't, the undercard is also currently average
