Why is David Haye so disliked o here???

EXAMPLE-Jones Moves up to HW and beats John Ruiz then says he is not willing to fight any of the so called SUPERheavyweights like Lewis or the Kiltschko boys.
The only other fight he wanted at HW was against washed up Mike Tyson.

James Toney moves up to HW and beats an old Holyfield and anounces that he would fight any HW in the world including then champ Lennox Lewis.

Point is Haye wants to fight the best out there same as James Toney when he moved up and unlike Jones who wanted hand picked opponents.

Whats wrong with wanting to fight the best?

Though I do feel like your off on the Roy Jones part of your arguement Porky, I dont see anything wrong about what Haye is doing

The point I am trying to make is that Haye is getting critisised for telling the world he wants to fight the best where as other fighters such as Jones were quite open about the fact they avoided certain boxers.

Do u think maybe the fact that Roy jones started at 160 and probably naturally weighs 180 or so has something to do with it. Haye is 4 inches taller anf 50 pounds heavier, of course he would feel more comfortable fighting big guys.

If he does what he says, comes in and KO's everyone, smashe Wlad to bits and brings fans back, he'll do wonders for the shitty division.

b) eats jabs all night from Wlad to a boring UD loss

the division will be back where it started or worse.

So basicly he beat Jean-Marc Mormeck (goood win) and Enzo Maccarinelli (who fought like a rabbit in headlights)

Its not that I wanted him to more at the weight ,there were only a couple of other fights that could be made, but you cant beat these two and announce yourself as the second coming !!!!

He needs to fight a danger man at heavy to prove he is as good as he keeps telling us

Hey Ray Austin was a mandatory....Sultan Ibragimov fought scared and was a southpaw and Tony Thompson was a bigger southpaw.

Wlad will come in vs Povetkin (who I assume he'll be fighting later this year) and just thump him out in a round or two. Povetkin doesn't have much power, he doesn't have good defense, and he doesn't take a punch too well. But before his fight with Chambers everyone (or a lot more people than are thinking so right now) thought he was going to be THE MAN.

David Haye has not had the experience that Holyfield had when he moved up or Moorer had when he moved up.

Moorer had 22 fights at light heavyweight, 6 fights at heavyweight before fighting for the vacant WBO title and then had 5 more fights before he fought Evander Holyfield for THE Championship belts (IBF/WBA).

Holyfield had 4 fights at light heavyweight, 14 fights at cruiserweight unified the division, and had 6 fights at heavyweight before fighting for THE Championship titles.

David Haye sounds like he wants a warm up fight just because Wlad just had a fight and then he wants to fight Wlad......he's wanting too much too soon. I'm all for him fighting Wlad because I want Haye's sorry ass stomped out ASAP but if he wants to have a successful CAREER he'll have a couple fights to test himself vs the bigger guys because he's going to have to get used to them.

Other than Haye, can you really name anyone who could be considered a superstar? The division's only heyday (and I realize it hasn't been around for as long as the heavies) was back in the time of Evander Holyfield. If Haye is calling the heavyweight division garbage then he's crawling out the toilet to do so.

....I think we're playing some revisionist history here porky. It was known Roy was going to fight Ruiz and that was basically it. There were rumors about a fight with Byrd but still....he wasn't going to fight Valuev or anyone else BECAUSE he would be risking too much. People still worried about him fighting Tyson.....and Tyson wasn't a top 10 heavyweight at that point in time. If he fought Vitali he would have been seriously or permenantly injured.

And comparing Haye to him is ridiculous because Haye has basically always been a heavyweight he's just been in the cruiserweight division if he was only going ot fight one heavyweight he'd be called a pussy because he's a true heavyweight. Roy didn't weigh enough to be a real heavyweight anyway 193.

Hayemaker is good for the HW division. He has good credentials. The way he acts right now, i don't dislike him(part of hyping and getting attention), I will only do so when if he can't walk the talk.

Yes, 1-2 years ago Bell and Mormeck were the guys who were supposed to put the Cruiserweight division on the map. A guy who runs out of steam and a guy who chases his sparring partners with axes. The one-trick pony Adamek, BJ Flores who had to flee the heavyweight division, Cunningham who nobody knows and Enzo Mac who did what exactly? I can name just as many heavyweights who have done just as much if not more but yet that division is called garbage. When one guy can leave a division and cause it to no longer be exciting that's very telling as to how deep it is. Tell me the fight at Cruiser you're looking to see set up.
