well some hate because he hasnt proven anything but he is still bringing alot of attention to the heavies which will be good for boxing so as a BOXING fan i like the guy he makes you really want to see if he can do what he says
peace
Haye is either gonna be great for the HW division or he may make it worse than it ever was.
If he does what he says, comes in and KO's everyone, smashe Wlad to bits and brings fans back, he'll do wonders for the shitty division.
On the other hand tho if he talks up a good fight, beats a couple of bums, gets his shot at Wlad, draws a massive crowd and PPV audience and is
a) sparked the fuck out in a round or two
or
b) eats jabs all night from Wlad to a boring UD loss
the division will be back where it started or worse.
If a) happened, I think it would still be good for the division. We need a dominant HW champ who actually look inspiring in KTFO'ing people (or at least trying to do so). Especially people of a certain calibre, not just the Ray Austin's of this world.
So, if Wlad did this in front of a massive PPV audience, I'd be happy. The alternative - as we should know by now - is a jab snoozefest in front of noone, but the true masochists, and against someone we will never hear about again.
So basicly he beat Jean-Marc Mormeck (goood win) and Enzo Maccarinelli (who fought like a rabbit in headlights)Quote:

Surely we will only know this when he fights someone in the heavyweight division (top 10)
Bet your life that Haye will be better at Heavy than he was at Cruser.
Well I wont bet my life I quite like it!! and I hope he is better at heavy than he is at crusier to be fair what did he do that was so great at cruser?
Apart from winning the WBC,WBA,WBO and Ring world championships he did fuck all.
What more did you want him to do at the weight?
Its not that I wanted him to more at the weight ,there were only a couple of other fights that could be made, but you cant beat these two and announce yourself as the second coming !!!!
He needs to fight a danger man at heavy to prove he is as good as he keeps telling us
Like I said I hope he does

Hey Ray Austin was a mandatory....Sultan Ibragimov fought scared and was a southpaw and Tony Thompson was a bigger southpaw.
How many southpaws did Lennox Lewis have to fight
Wlad will come in vs Povetkin (who I assume he'll be fighting later this year) and just thump him out in a round or two. Povetkin doesn't have much power, he doesn't have good defense, and he doesn't take a punch too well. But before his fight with Chambers everyone (or a lot more people than are thinking so right now) thought he was going to be THE MAN.
David Haye has not had the experience that Holyfield had when he moved up or Moorer had when he moved up.
Moorer had 22 fights at light heavyweight, 6 fights at heavyweight before fighting for the vacant WBO title and then had 5 more fights before he fought Evander Holyfield for THE Championship belts (IBF/WBA).
Holyfield had 4 fights at light heavyweight, 14 fights at cruiserweight unified the division, and had 6 fights at heavyweight before fighting for THE Championship titles.
David Haye sounds like he wants a warm up fight just because Wlad just had a fight and then he wants to fight Wlad......he's wanting too much too soon. I'm all for him fighting Wlad because I want Haye's sorry ass stomped out ASAP but if he wants to have a successful CAREER he'll have a couple fights to test himself vs the bigger guys because he's going to have to get used to them.
I just realized something. As much as the heavyweight division is maligned for being weak or lackluster, the cruiserweight division is just as weak if not weaker. Other than Haye, can you really name anyone who could be considered a superstar? The division's only heyday (and I realize it hasn't been around for as long as the heavies) was back in the time of Evander Holyfield. If Haye is calling the heavyweight division garbage then he's crawling out the toilet to do so.
Oops
If i remember right, the Cruiserweight was developing quite nicely a year ago.
Bell
Mormeck
Enzo Mac
Cunningham
BJ Flores
Adamek
Mormecks retired and Enzo has a huge stain on his record and Haye is a Heavyweight now so things are a lot different. But if you wanna call the Cruiserweight Division a toilet, its only because of what David Haye did to it.

Hayemaker is good for the HW division. He has good credentials. The way he acts right now, i don't dislike him(part of hyping and getting attention), I will only do so when if he can't walk the talk.
Haye just comes off like an attention whore, he makes Naz look humble. A little bit of an ego maniac that one. Really hasn't proved anything at heavyweight to be calling out Wlad. He gets dropped by cruiserweights, just wait til some big heavy drops bombs on him.
Yes, 1-2 years ago Bell and Mormeck were the guys who were supposed to put the Cruiserweight division on the map. A guy who runs out of steam and a guy who chases his sparring partners with axes. The one-trick pony Adamek, BJ Flores who had to flee the heavyweight division, Cunningham who nobody knows and Enzo Mac who did what exactly? I can name just as many heavyweights who have done just as much if not more but yet that division is called garbage. When one guy can leave a division and cause it to no longer be exciting that's very telling as to how deep it is. Tell me the fight at Cruiser you're looking to see set up.
