but if paulie stops Hatton it would be on cuts if anything.
I was being sarcastic. With his feather fists, no way is Paulie stopping anybody, let alone Hatton, unless of course it is on cuts.
    NO WAY ME TOO!!!!

thats why i said the only way hatton gets stopped by Paulie is but cuts

Im sure they exist but they are probably seriously warped individuals. A world without any absurdity is a world without life itself though. Or vice versa. or a little in the middle.

Ive just finished watching Cotto: Malignaggi for the first time in an age just now. Malignaggi is a tough SOB but he is there to be hit. If Hatton can sharpen up that head movement then he should be okay.

I think somebody mentioned earlier on this thread that Hattons footwork is very good. I concur with that. He's going to get closer to Paulie a little easier and faster than Malignaggi might expect.

If Ricky is mentally as up for it as he says then he wins.
Yeah even Mayweather said he was very surprised at how quick he was with his feet.

Not as quick as Floyd was with his elbows though

yea Paulie is easy to hit and can take a punch too. but i actually see this fight being a good fight even though im not fans of either.

but i think Paulie is more hyped than Hatton is. PM has been wanting this fight for a while and im sure he will give it his all and maybe sneak out the UD. but there was another thread i think where somebody said Hatton might be overlooking Paulie. And if thats true then Hatton is doing a big NO NO, just because Paulie doesnt have power doesnt mean he cant win.
I was watching the Hatton: Lazcano fight earlier too. And some of those shots Hatton was eating were ridiculous. A proper guy in his weight class would have had him out of there. Paulie might not have all the pop but he is dangerous and he's a darn sight better than a hugely inactive Lazcano way outside his weight class. Lazcano might hit harder though!!

Its an intriguing matchup to be honest.
i see u noticed that too. did you see Hattons face after the fight (il try to find the picture if i can) he looked like he took serious punishment but he didnt. i think hes getting more prone to cuts and bruises. which is not good cause Paulie can land some clean shots and get those cuts going.

Im not to excited by this fight, im obvioulsy going to watch it, but for me Paulie is not a big name and is just a belt holder, i dont think he is anything special whatsoever, but Hatton is deffo on his last legs all this bullshit about chest infections colds flu blah blah blah he seems to be the most illest man in the world everytime he has a bad persformance apparently he had flu or a chest infection, but prior to these fights he claimed to be in the best shape of his life.

Originally i was thinking Paulie would spring the upset just from the fact that Hatton imo is on the slide, and is struggling to do 12 rounds these days, but then i watched Paulies two defences of his ibf belt, woeful at best he is seriously a belt holder who is nothing special, weight drained Cotto mauled him Paulie is a tough kid, but Hatton will be all over him like a rash he wont imo be able to deal with it, even if it is only for 6/7 rounds then Ricky hugging him to death for the next 4/5 rounds cos hes blwoing out of his arse.

    116-112 Hatton.

I don't think Malignaggi's belt is on the line... can't remember why and could be wrong.

i think Paulie gave up his belt because the IBF had a mandatory fight and neither Hatton or Paulie wanted to fight him so Paulie just gave his up and now its just for the IBO and the Ring Mag belt for 140 i believe.

Hatton has always been getting cut up. But I dont expect him to be stumbling around against the likes of Lazcano though. That was meant to be a comeback fight to look good. He seemed to be stunned twice in that.

Agreed. If Paulie wants to stop Ricky then he needs to rough him up.

I like to listen to Ricky though and believe he's got his dazzle back. I will be cheering him on and hopefully he can look good again.

I checked the IBF website to look for an answer and the title is listed as vacant. Malignaggi isn't even rated anymore on there, must be sanctioning fee issues.

Yes it was.. it goes something like, the IBF wanted $300,000 for Paulie and Hatton to fight for their belt, so they said no thanks, have the poxy thing back.

I was thinking Hatton via UD or SD up until yesterday when I watched that documentary on Paulie at work (on sky sports 2 during the day).

I was really impressed, I have only really seen bits of his fights against N'dou and Ngoujo where he looked shit but it showed some of his earlier stuff as well as the Cotto fight. I suppose it was geared to make PM look good though as all of these shows are to hype the fight.

Tell you what though, don't tempt fate by saying powderpuff can't K.O Ricky lol...He wobbled Cotto in their fight with a right hand. If he can accumulate punches he may spring a suprise! Especially as Lazcano had Hatton in trouble. I know it's unlikely but would be pretty embaressing!

I went for Paulie via decision because he was a good salesman on that documentary. Boy can he and his brother talk trash...!!

PM will break his hands well before he lands anything powerful against Hatton.

...there are soo many rats on a sinking ship Saddo.

However if Ricky won and ESPECIALLY by KO there would be so many people claiming they knew he would do that well all along and how he never lost anything and how he would have beaten PBF to a bloody pulp at 140 etc etc etc.

My only fear for Malinaggi is his very brittle hands because he is going to have to keep punching Hatton until the bell if he is to win the fight.
