Oscar not in his prime anymore that's why PAC is so brave even with the massive advantages Oscar has on him. PAC believed his Coach Roach who said that "Oscar is slow and can't pull the trigger anymore".

PAC has a very slim chance in this fight but having that shot on another boxing legend is best for PAC at this point of his boxing career since most probably PAC will hang his gloves next year.

So he's planning on extending his legacy against a guy that is slow and can't pull the trigger anymore? Hmm failing to see why this is impressive.
OK let's discuss Team PAC's "secret" plan... IF (big if) PAC defeats Oscar in a more convincing way (UD will do) than what PBF did to Oscar then PAC will be in excellent position to call out PBF from retirement. Ohhh that's a very BIG fight...

But if PAC loses to Oscar then PAC will just settle on another "old and shot" boxer in Hatton next year...

BTW this "secret" plan has been laid out and discussed I believe on another thread here...

    2. Hoya won't give the Philippines TV rights to Pacquiao

    3. Hoya wants Pacquiao to wear 10 oz. gloves for the fight

    4. Hoya realized that boxing fans didn't like the smaller Pacquiao as his opponent for his very last fight.

As for Manny Pacquiao, he will probably sit out for the rest of the year and will probably be back May or June next year.
I had to neg rep you. They are still negotiating; the title of your thread is misleading.
I had to neg rep you, your comments annoyed me.

The headline of the tread originally stated that the "fight was off." When you click on the thread, and read it, it became apparent that the title of the thread was completely false, and that it was just about one poster's opinion on the possibility of the fight. (the title of the thread has since been changed)

There are plenty of boxing forums where you can go to read false rumors, I always take pride in that Saddo is not one of them.

Hatton has not lost credibility with the LWW div. He lost as a WW to an elite fighter. What makes you think he is done? I think we could see a good fight in Paulie with him. Hatton will bring it and Paulie is a good fighter. Hatton is still the man in my eyes. People will sing a different tune after this fight.
Lazcano may have made him look bad, but he would never beat him in 50 fights.

    Latest Update:

Warning: For those not interested in this fight, please read no further since it might be just a waste of your time.

    - DelaHoya will fight at 147 lbs.
    - DelaHoya will wear 8 oz. gloves
    - Purse split the only thing not settled

Source: Oscar De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao fight nearly set

Team Pacquiao should not accept anything less than 60-40 purse split IMO...

8 oz gloves. Damn. I almost feel sorry for Pacquiao. Almost. Soon as Oscar lands this fight is over. Oscar struggled to make 150 in his last fight. Should be a battle for him to make 147.

A weak, slow, old and shot DelaHoya at 147 lbs. may not be able to throw a power punch enough to KO PAC... Or may not be able to land a clean punch on super fast PAC... I hope so...

At 147 it won't be a super fast Pac. It will be a fat Pac

So what your saying is PAC wins it against a "super weak, super slow and super malnourished Oscar" well that solidifies the fact that
    1) this fight proves nothing
    2) is only for cash.

Latest word on the streets of LA (hold it, this is not official yet)...

"It's a done deal... Both parties agreed on a 65-35 purse split..."

I think once this fight is signed and delivered, it will be the primetime boxing news from now until December...

Well Oscar is still "super big, super tall and super reach"... It only even things up... That's what makes this fight very intriguing....

This match is very unique; and because of that uniqueness, boxing fans around the world will want to watch this fight...
