It's natural to be really sore if you're starting a new exercise program. I remember I was so sore on my first week of hard training that I couldn't bend my arm more than 90 degrees and everything else was as sore as can be.

I'd say give it some time, don't load up on too much and make sure you aren't sparring until you've settled into your new routine.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

Id go training and try to work through it , once you warm up you'll probably be ok anyway , though i wouldn't reccomend sparring if your not feeling at least 80% or so.

The "aching" is called Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness, which is the soreness of the muscle from a previous workout , people do say that working through this can help you recover quicker next time.

I agree with PlatinumBoy , once you get your muscles warmed up you will be alright, just make sure you have a good stretch and proper warm up. Sometimes the best times to train are when you really ache from a hard session the night before, its just acid building up in your muscles.

If I didnt go training everytime I ached I would hardly be at the gym!!
The only time I would say not to train is if you have an injury, thats when you have to listen to your body and rest.

I should've mentioned that myself, a proper warmup is important. Don't just spend 10 seconds stretching a couple muscles, you gotta put some time out so that you can do them properly.

I found that several minutes of cool down exercises are great just for recovering from the workout. Just catching your wind and stretching your muscles in the end can make all the difference.

Besides that it's what comes with boxing, you're always going to be sore, aching or hurt. It's a real fighter that keeps going.

It'd be a good idea to get an extra good stretch in before working out and try not go at it TOO hard until the soreness goes away.
