Was tysons power ever measured?.
Was tysons power ever measured?.
No
Dont think so but i heard when he was weighing 220lbs his punch was about 4 times more powerful than a normal man in shape weighing 220lbs.
What is your deal broI mean this is the 3rd thread you have started since Sept 06 about Tysons punch power being measured, I mean are you hoping the answer will change

A lot might disagree . But i think it was . shavers never knocked out anyone with a decent chin . The only top fighters he knocked out were norton, ellis and young . Young was a blown up middleweight , ellis was shot and norton was shot and never had a chin to begin with . Shavers reputation of being generally recognised as the hardest puncher in history comes from ali and holmes always blowing up shavers as being a great fighter and great puncher .Shavers knockouts are nearly all against tomato cans. jimmy ellis wasent too impressed by his power . He said shavers didnt hit that hard at all.
you started a topic about was Lewis power overrated now this ?? how can Shaver's power be overrated Young was not blown up middleweight i don't know where you got that from Ellis wasn't shot he was on 8 win streak and his last loss at that time was from Ali who he went 12 rounds with and if you go on youtube and hear how hard he hit Holmes it was like shotgun going off and didn't Ali say he was hardest hitter he had fought and didn't he fight Fraizer Liston and Foreman i think Ali would know best don't you
and Ellis said Shaver's didn't hit that hard hold on second wasn't he on his backside in first round from uppercut maybe he can't remember or has brain damage from that shot one of the two
name one guy he knocked out who had a good chin?.

He is commonly mentioned as being one of the hardest punchers in heavyweight history . But he didnt score that many one punch knockouts or even knockouts for that matter. Some of his opponents such holyfield, tyson, phil jackson, mercer didnt think much of his power . Tommy morrison even said that lewis couldnt punch for S***.
jackson was down 3 times holyfield is tough as nails hard to ko him ask big riddick and mercer again he is tough as nails and has iron chin hard to ko him again ask morrison and tyson ?? tried to stay up as long as he could but he got koed so i dont really know how anyone can say his power is overrated
didnt razor ruddock go 12 rounds with tyson ?? how many rounds did it take lewis to stop him ?? 2
but ruddock said the beatings he took from tyson made him a shot fighter.

tyson isnt coming back . i would be very suprised if i ever seen tyson fighting professional again . i wish people wouldnt start rumours like this. he is not or never will fight again . just let it go.
just repeating what mag says weather its rumours or not who knows but it says he,s linking up with steve lott who ever he is
if hes linking up with steve that means he could be getting back with rooney . which i would love to see . when mike was with rooney he was unstoppable . rooney is the only guy who knows the cus damato style and the only guy who could get mike to move his head and throw combinations . i just dont want my hopes built up i mean how many times has there being talk about mike coming back only to find out that they were just rumours. it really pisses me off when that happens.

depends on how they said it....again Tyson was not a real one punch KO guy....Except with some of the really no good bums from the early years...Mike hit damn hard but speed and voulume had a lot to do with it....If you remember once Mike started to become a head hunter the KO's came less frequent'''..Tyson hit hard in every punch but being a hard hitter and one punch KO guy are different...Foreman and Shavers were 1 punch KO artist
tyson had plent of one punch kos botha, tillman, stewart, tubbs, spinks, holmes, berbick, saverese, golata, mcneeley, mathis, etienne, douglas, carl williams, norris and seldon. Forman didnt have any one punch kos his were always accumulation. He knocked frazier out with an accumulation of punches.

I don't think him, Foreman, or Shavers are the hardest punchers ever. Alot of guys have said that Lewis punched harder than Tyson. I think Ibeabuchi would punch harder, and maybe even Tua. It's hard to say because the gloves are getting bigger.
Who said lewis could punch harder than tyson?.

I heard his hands were made of kryptonite.
biting power? yes! over 600LBS per square inch! enough to tear apart holyfields ear.
I heard his punches were like getting hit with a sledgehammer at 30mph.
Obviously there must be a lot of guys make a living getting hit with sledgehammers going 30mph.Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING
