I think Hatton would have to be on the list, only cause it forced Mayweather to fight a different strategy

Maybe your right i was going to put him at 10 but i put Corley in there instead, because he gave Mayweather some trouble at least in the first 4 rounds, and actually stunned him twice in the 4th round. I don't think Hatton ever really put Mayweather in any danger thats why i think Corley is more deserving than Hatton.

are you considering his toughest fights as far as how the fights went.. or his toughest fights as far as him being an underdog in a fight..

cause i mean, fighting Corrales you'd think would be a "tough fight" cause he's such a warrior, but Mayweather took him out easy..

Genaro Hernandez should be on that list too.. i believe that was Floyd's first belt..

Zab Judah should be either 2 or 3, he was dominating Floyd for the first half of the fight, Oscar never did that and Floyd ran over Castillo in their second fight.

    Yep, I agree.

    Zab knocked down Floyd too.

Zab won three rounds in the first half of the fight going 3-3 in 6 rounds isn't exactly dominating.

One fight people should watch is Mayweather's second fight it was against a southpaw who gave him more fits than a lot of these fights.

I don't think he had to many problems with Judah. I've never heard more made of 3 rounds won then Judah - Mayweather. Judah won those rounds not because he was giving Mayweather problems but because Mayweather was waiting. That's all.

I would even put Hatton above Judah, Hatton presented more of a challenge that's for sure.

I would agree with the two Castillo fights at top as well as ODLH.

An interesting one is Mayweather's second pro fight with Reggie Sanders. Don't know if anyone has ever seen it but Sanders gave Mayweather a bit of trouble. I thought he won 3-1 but the crowd thought Floyd lost and boo'd the decision.

Zab did catch MAyweather off balance coming in, but he didn't hurt him, and the knock down didn't count. After the begining of the fourth Mayweather dominated, and he won the third round as well.

THis is why Corley should be way higher: It was the only fight Mayweather has ever looked anything close to being hurt. Corley got in a lot of good left hands.

Also Emanuel Burton fight was a lot toughter than his fight with Chavez, Castillo II, Vargas, Sosa...

In terms of closeness of the fight then you have the right order except maybe Judah and ODLH could be switched around, but add physical difficulty of the fight Corley should be 4th or 5th then Carlos Hernandez, then Castillo 2, then Burton, THen Sosa, then Vargas.

I don't think some of those fights were that tough. Would have to revisit some, but after the first 4 rounds against Judah, that fight was dominated by Floyd. Corley got in a good round, but never posed a threat besides that. I don't remember Vargas being that close of a fight either, if I recall right, Floyd dropped him with a body shot.

The top two IMO, was obviously Castillo 1, and I would have to say Burton. Burton didn't pose a great threat, but Floyd had a long layoff, and the ringrust showed.Burton was always in his face, and busted Floyd's nose. Floyd had to fight.

After those, Oscar was tough, but part of Floyd's gameplan was to weather the storm early, and take over when Oscar started to fade, but was still a tough fight. Castillo 2, was tough, but not like the first, Floyd knew exactly what he needed to do to win, and Castillo couldn't stop it. Castillo still made it tough though. Chavez gets a honorable mention, because he gave it his all, but we saw what happened. After those four or five, you could put in about any fight of Floyd's to make a list of ten. The reason being, most of his fights weren't that tough, IMO.

Judah did not dominate anything he won 3 rounds out of the first 4 rounds and then Mayweather dominated Judah, ODLH was much more competitive and was pretty even with Mayweather though 9 rounds, and he even won the 12th round on my card as well. And how did Mayweather run over Castillo in the 2nd fight ?? i had it 7-5 for Mayweather, and the punch stats were in no way one sided either.

I don't think Burton was that tough of a fight, yes he did break Mayweather's nose. But he didn't even win a round and was out classed completely.

Yea i see that fight Amat Sanders did give Mayweather some problems i also seem to remember Mayweather being cut in that fight ?? but anyway here are the punch stats for the fight.

ESPN reported the blows as Mayweather 82/171 48%, Sanders 59/178 33%.

zab gave up on himself for some reason..............he was so strong in the first couple of rounds throwing everything.............then for the rest of the 8 rounds he threw like 10 punches per round. just plain stupid
    mind over speed and power

Because Mayweather changed his tactics and Judah couldn't adjust simple as.
