So after breaking down Margarito, whom I, among a fewothers here thought couldn't be done. Shane has shown without a doubt he still deserves to be elite and an ATG. So what should the next move be?
Unify at 147? Step up to 154? Retire on top?

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
I would like him to retire on this but I know he won't. He was awesome last night.
He should either fight Cotto or just retire. No point hanging around too long.
He cant retire after last night . He was better than ever . That would be a crazy move
Id like to see him destroy Pac personally but I think the fight he deserves is with Floyd. The two best American welters of the last 20 years
I say he cashes in with the biggest payday available. He deserves it. He's a true warrior who has fought the best, is at the end of his career and deserves bigger money.
yeah. why not. I personally would not pay to see it, but it would be an ass whipping for Oscar. I thought oscar actually won their second meeting, but if they if fought now Shane would stop him.
I think he'll probably fight Cotto this summer.
Berto's handlers would be nuts to put him in with Shane after their respective performances. Paul Williams and Clottey bring nothing to the table money-wise.
I'd love to see him against Floyd or the winner of Hatton/Pac, but the timing doesn't look like it will work.
pick 2 of any combination below
Rematch Cotto(Obvious)
Berto- Beat and up an comer/Potentially pass the torch
Pac/Hatton winner
Mayweather(Obvious)
Last ever fight should be a Rematch with Forrest- Shane probably feels unfinished business
I agree with JT any of those fights would be awesome to watch, Shane Mosley seems in better form than ever and if Miguel Cotto looks impressive in his next fight. I don't see why Shane Mosley shouldn't get a chance to revenge that loss.
But then theres the young bull in Andre Berto who seems to fight a bit like a young Shane Mosley, and has that same kind of handspeed. Although i don't think he's ready for someone like Shane Mosley.
It would still be an awesome fight to see but i don't think i'll watch it live, because i'll have to have the fight in slow motion to see the punches.
Floyd Mayweather vs Shane Mosley obviously one of my dream match ups, i don't think Floyd Mayweather is as good as he once was. So i give Shane Mosley a good chance, because with his fast/accurate shots.
I see him landing more so than any other Floyd Mayweather opponent. But Floyd Mayweather is just so good in every department and always finds a way to win a very hard fight to pick if Shane Mosley is on form IMO.
I would actually rather see Shane Mosley vs Manny Pacquiao, than Shane Mosley vs Ricky Hatton. Because i think Shane Mosley wouuld give Ricky Hatton a boxing lesson, where as Manny Pacquiao vs Shane Mosley.
Would be much more competitive and once again just like with the Andre Berto fight, the handspeed in the fight would be amazing. But i see Shane Mosley beating both fighters IMO.
I disagree with a Vernon Forrest fight JT, Vernon Forrest just has his number. And moving up in weight would be dangerous, and it wouldn't attract as that much attention IMO. It would also be damaging if Shane Mosley were too lose 3 times to Vernon Forrest.
I think he's just fine at Welterweight he has two of the best P4P fighters to choose from. He also has two young fighters with recognition and respect, that he could fight easily and considering Shane Mosley has a big name. It shouldn't be too hard to make any of these fights.

Just about anything right now...he is wide open...last nights win put him in the driver seat...he would be the draw next biy against anyone because people want to see if he can repeat the performance...He has a title and people like Shane...
The guy's career was reborn last night..
Though it was never really dead IMO like people were saying
Hidden Content IN CASE THEY ALL FORGOT WHAT REAL HEAVYWEIGHT POWER WAS!!!
I think its going to be Cotto now.Berto is not ready for Mosley.Basically Mosley is the shpt caller right now.Has the promotion and network....most immportantly he still has the championship calibur ability and fire.
Mosley vs Mayweather, better late than never.
Mosley vs Berto, young champion vs old champion.
Mosley vs Cotto, the rematch would have some good buzz to it.
Mosley vs Pacquiao/Hatton, if he fights the winner of that fight, he would get one hell of a payday.
Berto (WBC 147 title holder)
Josh Clottey (IBF 147 title holder)
Rematch Cotto
Rematch Margarito
Paul Williams
PAC (#1 p4p)
Forrest (WBC 154 title holder)
Santos (WBA 154 title holder)
PBF
RETIRE ON TOP!!
Let's try to eliminate them one-by-one.
He's not going to retire. We all know that.
He's not fighting Santos, no money in that.
He's not fighting Pac, since Pacquiao is fighting Hatton in May and is therefore not available until late '09.
Paul Williams is fighting Winky in April at 160, so he's not available for a while either.
I think Berto's handlers will put him in against an easy opponent next after the tough fight with Collazo, so he's not an option.
He's not going to rematch Margarito, this fight was WAY too one-sided. If you're Margarito, you'd rather just rematch Cotto.
Clottey is a good fighter who brings no money or fans, so he's doubtful.
Forrest doesn't bring much money and we already know he's a terrible style matchup for Shane.
So really... there's 2 legit options. A rematch with Cotto (contingent on the Cotto-Margarito rematch not happening) or a fight with Floyd.
