It was 65 years ago today that the Allied Forces stormed the beaches in Normandy and turned the tide in World War II. It was perhaps the greatest military operation since Prince William crossed the Channel in 1066 to win the Battle of Hastings.
I would like to take this time and thank the American, British, and Canadian forces that fought so bravely so many years ago.
I may have to post my pictures from Normandy, I went to Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, and Pointe Du Hoc....very humbling experience.
