Brian Peters Promotions will host a press conference in Dublin, Ireland today to announce details of Bernard Dunne’s first defence of his WBA Super Bantamweight title on the next Hunky Dorys World Title Fight Night.
Dunne, 28-1 (15), captured the WBA crown in a slugfest with Ricardo Cordoba at Dublin's 02 Arena, stopping the Panamanian in the 11th frame last March.
Speculation abounds as to just who Dunne will face in what is likely to be a voluntary defense.
Dunne's three top rated challengers within the WBA ranking system are Rafael Marquez, Antonio Escalante and Cordoba.
Current European champ Rendall Munroe is ranked fourth and has in the past been linked to a potential blockbuster clash with Dunne.
